�So she just got up and left? Just like that?� Frankie asked confused as he and Chris sat in a small pizza joint down the street from rehearsals. �Yeah, I�m not exactly sure what went wrong! I feel really bad about it!� Chris said picking at his slice of cheese and pepperoni. �Well I think you should probably give her space! I mean women are one of the most complicated things out there I�m lucky that I understand half the stuff Kiana does!� Frankie said. �I guess.� Chris shrugged. �No, Chris listen to me, give her, her space! In the mean time we have to get to practice, I feel bad being late, Kiana is coming, and she is bringing her friend Jessica, so you know got to get going!� Frankie said getting up. With that the two young men left for rehearsal.

�Okay, so it�s Wednesday, the dance is on Friday, Kiki is going out with Hunter and waiting for who to ask her to the dance?� Olivia asked trying to catch on. �That�s not the point, she is cheating on Hunter, and wants to break up with him at the Dance!� Liz said. �Okay, so Kiki, Miss Dumb Blonde is actually a master player, and she has Hunter wrapped!� Olivia said. �Um, sort of, but anyway! �It really is a shame!� Olivia stated and then continued walking. �Wait Liv, what are you talking about?� Hunter said taking her hand to stop her. Livia quickly pulled her hand away. �About Kiki, I�m sorry, the news must have been terrible to get!� she said and turned back around. �What news?� he asked her. �You mean you don�t know!?!?� Olivia asked. �I am pretty sure I don�t!� he answered. �Oh, well she is going to the dance with someone else, and she is going to dump you at the dance! Talk about an embarrassment!� Olivia laughed and turned around once again. �Uh, thanks Livia!� he shouted to her. �No problem!� she shouted back.
�Ever think of being an actress?� Liz asked with a laugh. �I�m ready for my close up!� Livia joked. �Hah, ok, now what are you up to after school today?� Liz asked as the two put on their jackets ready to leave. �Oh sorry Hun, I am going over to Jesse�s house, I think we are going to watch movies!� Olivia answered. �Oh� Liz sighed a hint of disappointment in her voice. �Maybe you should go over to Chris�s house, you know, apologize!� Liv said as they stopped at Liz�s car. �Maybe, I should at least explain myself!� Liz shrugged. �See you later Liz!� Livia said and ran over to the sidewalk.

�Chris!� Liz said knocking on his door. He didn�t answer but she knew he was home, she noticed that the door was unlocked, �What harm could it do!� she shrugged and opened the door. Stepping inside soundlessly she took a look around noticing that his bedroom light was on. She climbed up the stairs quickly two at a time, �Oh Chris!� she giggled opening the door.
Her smile faded quickly, tears welled up in her eyes. �Liz!� He said getting up, he was with another girl, kissing another girl, kissing the girl the way she wouldn�t let him kiss herself. �Don�t take another step!� She said backing away. The mystery girl turned around and looked at her blankly, �Oh hey Liz!� Jessica said. �Jess! How the hell did you pull this one off?!� Liz asked shocked, tears like rivers flowing down her cheeks.
�You know I always win! You can�t always be the center of attention you know!� she said smiling. So this is what it was about, Chris liked Liz more then he likes Jessica, and she couldn�t take it. �How did you get close to him!� She yelled. �Oh my friend Kiana, comes to turn out, she�s dating Frankie! What a small world!� Jessica laughed. Elizabeth found herself in the familiar position of running away again.

�Lizzie wait no!� Chris yelled after her as she ran out onto the busy sidewalk, wishing that the street hadn�t been so full, her car was parked quite a ways down. �Stay away from me!� Liz started walking faster. �Liz let me explain!� Chris said grabbing her arm.
�Damn it Chris! If you wanted to explain this to me, you would have done it without permission!� She stopped and yelled at him. �Lizzie! Let me explain!� he pleaded. �Talk, but if this is a ridiculous excuse I am tuning you out!� she said and continued walking.
�Liz, I love you!� he said a single tear slipping down his cheek, in fear he may loose her. �Chris! Do you even know what your saying!?!?� she asked turning to him, still completely hurt by what she had saw. �You don�t even know me! And you were with Jessica! One of my best friends!� she said crying.
�Don�t you understand?� she asked. �No, I don�t!� he answered lost in a world of regret. �It wont ever be the same! If you love me, you have a funny way of showing it!� she said finally reaching her car and unlocking the door and getting in.
And just like that she was gone, and Chris was left standing, fresh snowflakes falling all around him. If only she knew the whole story, about Kiana setting them up to cheer him up, and him not wanting to do it, but having no choice, about him not kissing back! If there were only a way to tell her!
Does love at first sight mean that it can were off?
