Sight
Chapter 4
Liz went straight home from school that day, wanting to look the best she could. She ran up to her room and redid her make up, and painted her nails, which was odd for her, she was usually a girl who didn�t really care about guys or what people thought of her, but it was different with Chris.

�Who is out there honking their horn?� Grace asked suspiciously. �No one, just a friend!� Liz said grabbing her jacket. �That�s a boy!� Grace said after running to the window and scooping out the �friend�. �So!� Liz said giving a weird look and reaching for the door knob. �Okay, but you snuck out, I didn�t let you go!� Grace said rolling her eyes and going back to the kitchen.
�Hey� Chris said as she got in and sat down. �Hey Chris!� she said leaning over and kissing his cheek. �Miss me?� he asked smiling. �Oh yes!� Lizzie laughed sitting back.

�This is a nice place!� Liz said stepping into his apartment. �Very classy!� she added. �I guess, it�s not the greatest, but oh well!� Chris laughed taking her hand and up to his bedroom. �This is the best room in the house!� Chris joked as they entered his room. �Ah yes, very, ehm, clean!� she said clearing her throat.
She glanced around noticing lots of pictures, there was a few of him and Greg, and pictures of him and the guys, a few with select fans and just with regular fans. She walked over to his night stand picking up the picture, �Is this your dad?� she asked smiling up at him. �Uh, yea� he answered taking the picture from her hands. �He passed away back in October!� he finished. �Oh, I, I�m sorry!� she answered startled.
�It�s ok, he�s still here in spirit!� he answered. �Yeah, my dad left us when I was 5, he didn�t even tell us how we would contact him if something bad happened! But I�d rather have it like you, because he didn�t choose to leave!� she explained a bit of her past. �Oh I�m sorry!� he returned the favor. �Oh don�t be, I�ve gotten over it!� Liz said thinking about what a jerk he must be.

�So do you have any brothers or sisters?� Liz asked as they both sat in front of the large TV drinking soda. �My brother Ronnie, but he lives up in Michigan plus he�s married and has two kids!� Chris answered. �Where�s your mom?� she asked curiosity clouding her thoughts. �Out I guess, probably grocery shopping!� he answered. �On a Monday?� she asked confused. �Short lines!� he answered.

�Well I think it�s time for me to get going!� Liz said looking at her watch, it was 10:15, she needed to get back to Brooklyn before her mother did. �Okay, then lets get going!� he answered getting up. �Want to take the subway?� Chris offered. �Hah, sure I guess!� Liz agreed as they set off for the station.

�I had fun tonight!� Liz said to Chris, felling almost sick from the over heated compartment. �Me too!� Chris answered. Before she understood what was going on, she felt his lips on hers and the kiss becoming very passionate. Then the subway came to halt, �Thank you god!� Liz thought to herself. �Chris!� she pushed him away. �What?� he asked confused. �I...I, no, we can�t do this! We can�t!� she said getting up and going out the opened doors.
�Liz this isn�t even your stop!� Chris shouted. �I know how to get home!� she answered, and the doors shut stopping Chris from doing anything he could. �Lizzie!� he shouted slamming his fist on the door. She just stood there with tears in her eyes and turned around.
He turned around and went back to his seat, slumping down as if nothing that had ever happened to him was good.

Liz pushed her front door open slamming it behind her, tears streaming down her face. �Liz, honey is that you?� Her mother called from the den. �Yeah mom!� she answered sucking in her feelings. �Where were you?� she shouted. �I had to run down to Jessica�s house, she needed to borrow my chemistry notes!� she yelled back running up the stairs and into her room, slamming and locking the door.
She feel to her bed in tears, what was going on. This was how she was, the past three boyfriends she had had, they moved fast, and went nowhere! But that wasn�t how she felt about Chris, and she hoped that wasn�t how he felt about her. She wanted something more, something stable, a relationship that would be stronger then any other. She wasn�t going to let this one slip away.
