Sight
Chapter 2
After the show Jessica wanted to go and buy a new pair of shoes, Liz said that she would meet back up with her in an hour and half at the food court. She made her way down the mall to the west wing where The Sound Shop was. When she arrived there she looked around and noticed Chris�s spikes in the Popular Music section.
She walked over there quietly and snuck up behind him, �Boo� she giggled quickly jumping at him placing her hands on his shoulders. �Liz� He said turning around and smiling, his big pearly white smile. �Nice to see Chris, when your not surrounded by screaming girls!� Liz laughed. �Is it?� he laughed taking her hand. �Want to come meet my friends?� he asked. �Uh, sure!� She agreed walking with him, into a back room.
�Hey guys, this is Liz!� He said walking in with her, four other guys, the ones from the band she remembered, and the girl with the blonde hair were sitting around snacking on junk food. �Hey� They all said acknowledging her entrance. �This is Jesse, Matt, Frankie, Greg, and Greg�s girlfriend Hillary!� he introduced everyone.
�Hey Liz, sorry about yelling at you before!� Hillary laughed getting up to shake Liz�s hand. �You guys can call me Lizzie if you want!� she laughed shaking her hand. �Well, Chris, tell me why you brought a fan to our dressing room?!� Matt asked.
�Oh I�m not a fan, my best friend is she is obsessed with you!� Liz laughed pointing to Jesse. �Oh I�m flattered!� Jesse said sarcastically. �Don�t mind him, his girlfriend just broke up with him, we are trying to find a way to get his mind off of her!� Chris whispered to her. �Oh the secret of DreamStreet, Greg is actually taken!� Liz laughed.
�Well actually, I am too!� Frankie laughed. �And the rest of you?� she asked, Jesse gave her a dirty look, Matt replied single and so did Chris. �yes he�s single!� she said to herself. They sat and chatted for a little while until Lizzie noticed the time. �Oh shoot, I got to go!� she said getting up.
�Wait can I have your number?� Chris asked before she reached the door. �Oh gees, I guess so!� she said emotionlessly. Chris felt a little upset then. �I�m just playing with you Chrissy! Here!� she laughed handing him a piece of paper. �Call me!� She said reaching for the door.
�Wait!� he said again. �Yes Chris?� she asked turning back around, light laughter filling the air. �Want to go to a movie or something?� He asked. �Call me Chris!� she answered and left.

Liz walked up the steps to her house, the bitter cold only making her pick up pace. Fumbling with the keys she got the right one and opened the door, a toasty warmth instantly comforting her, she never was one to like the cold.
�Good your home! It�s 6, you took forever!� Grace said her eyes glued to the TV. �Sorry Grace!� She answered removing her coat and hanging it up. �Well� she began turning off the TV and standing up. �I am going over to Ricky�s house, I don�t know if I�ll be home tonight or not! Mom is at work!� she said with that she was gone.

Liz laid down on her bed, completely exhausted yet totally infatuated. She then looked to her nightstand, beside the ever so annoying alarm clock was her cordless phone and answering machine. �2 NEW� it blinked. She lightly pressed the button to hear what the latest news was.
�Ok Liz, like you totally need to give me a call, because like, the Christmas Dance is coming up and you are like, in charge of decor! Right yourself a note or something, call Kiki!� The annoying voice of a classmate rang out.
�Hey Lizzie, it�s Chris, I guess your not home yet, so I will try back later! Peace� Liz�s attention was quickly on that message and that message alone. �Darn it!� she said sitting up again angrily. �I missed him!� she sighed with frustration.
After 45 minutes of channel surfing the phone rang, Liz crossed her fingers then answered the phone. �McGee residence!� she answered. �Uh, is Lizzie there?� she heard a males voice ask. �This is she!� she answered sitting back down on her bed.
�Hey, it�s Chris!� he answered. �Oh hey!� she said happily. Two hours were spent talking about themselves everything from Liz�s favorite color being yellow to Chris�s biggest obsession his hair.
�It�s to bad you live all the way over in Manhattan!� She sighed since she was located in New Jersey. �Yeah, but if we want, we can find ways to see a lot of each other!� Chris answered. �Yeah, so how about that movie?� Liz laughed. �Oh yea, what do you want to see?� Chris asked. They soon settled on American Pie 2 without much fight.
�Do you think you have a friend that could go with Jesse?� He asked before they got off the topic of conversation. �Hmm� Liz thought to herself. �Olivia would be perfect for him I think!� she answered after reviewing every friend she had in her mind. �She�s 14, had long brown curly wavy hair, green eyes about 5�5�, she�s a cutie, a little shy, but a sweetie!� she explained. �Okay that�s awesome! You think I could bring him along and I might be able to get Frankie and Kiana to come!� Chris explained.
�Sounds like, fun let me give Liv a call, call me back in 10 minutes!� She said hanging up and hitting memory dial 3. After 4 rings the phone picked up, �Hello� Olivia answered. �Hey girl, can you do me a big, big, big favor!� Lizzie asked. �Oh lord, what is it now?� she asked taking a gulp of her vanilla coke. �Well there is this guy that I met today, and I am totally hooked on him now, but his friend needs a date, do you think your up to the challenge?� Lizzie asked hopefully.
�I can tell you like the guy just by your voice, sure I will but if he isn�t interesting at all, I�m not giving him my number!� Livia warned. �He�s cute, trust me he�s cute! We are going to the movies tomorrow, I will pick you up around noon, cuz we are going to go out for ice cream at Friendly�s ahead of time I think!� Liz informed. �Ugh, ok good night Lizzie!� Livia said hanging up the phone.
