Prologue

Justin Timberlake was Karmela Thompsons best friend. He had Dirty
blonde hair, sea-blue eyes, was muscular and tall. Did we fail to mention he
is one of the most respected men in this whole world? He was now a solo
artist, branching off from the band *NSYNC.  So he also had the likes of
being popular, having an amazing voice, being handsome as hell, and having twenty million girls around the world having extremely weird desires of
wanting to grope him in all the places he had.

Now onto Britney Spears. A well-rounded individual. She had the beauty
of ten pretty girls combined. She was blonde (originally a brunette) with pouty lips that any sane man would want to kiss. She was also a great dancer, a
good singer, and had fans everywhere in this world possible. She let on a
sweet, innocent glow to her that wanted the public only wanting more. She
gave everyone the reassurance that everything down on this planet could still somehow be perfect, just like her.

Then there was Karmela Thompson. Opposite of all the above. Your
average brunette kind of girl. Nothing spectacular, although maybe once in
awhile she could make a mans eyebrow twitch upwards or his hand
accidentally hitting her butt.  Her personality was awesome. She was artistic, sweet, polite, and could make a dead man laugh his head off. Her piercing
green eyes were almost damned to be contacts at first glance, but if you
stared way down into her soul, maybe (and just maybe) there was a tiny hint
she was telling the truth when she said they were real.

Last but not least, there was Lynn. Karmelas mother died when she was
still a child. She didnt even remember her mothers face, but always use to
gaze at pictures of her for hours. Lynn always dreamed of having a daughter.
The daughter she dreamed of died at birth and she couldnt even imagine
how it felt for Karmela to loose her mom. Thats the reason why she took her
in as her own. Thats the reason that she taught Karmela all there was to be
a girl (yes, shopping included).

If she didnt meet Justin Timberlake before all the fame: yes, before his
solo career, before *NSYNC, before even living in Orlando, she knew he
wouldnt even give her a second glance. But that didnt matter to her. She
believed things happened for a reason (or its just Gods sick pleasure) and
thats why she did meet him growing up. Thats also why he moved to
Orlando to pursue a career, leaving her in Memphis, Tennessee with, well,
nothing at all.

Things have changed now. Justin Timberlake is now not in the band. Hes not even with Britney anymore. Karmela always thought they were the perfect couple for each other. Justin didnt exactly tell her the details of the tear-
jerking breakup, he didnt tell her much. All she knew was from herself being
a nosey kind of person, and reading it in the tabloids, hearing it from the
grapevine, and searching the internet. It didnt hurt that Justin never told her
about it. He never really was a person that liked to share details. All Karmela
was hurt by was the face that she had to see that he was in pain.

Life goes on, and slowly by slowly, he was picking up all the pieces of his
heart that Britney broke. The story was never ending, like some kind of sick
soap opera. Both Britney and Justin still talked about it to the press, trying to
make themselves look better than the other. They both still said that they
loved each other, and she wasnt quite sure if either meant it. But their
relationship was so beautiful, even if they were apart now.

And slowly by slowly, Justin decided to speak out to Karmela, to confide in
her. She truly was special. It wasnt like because Justin Timberlake was
sharing the most intimate details with her that she was special, it was her
Justin letting her in on a little secret, just as they always did when they were
younger.
