| Epilogue Mandi ate the strawberry that JC was feeding her across the table slowly and smile after licking the whipped cream off of his fingers. "That was a very romantic thing to do." He grinned widely and fed her another one. "Well, you know me, Im just a romantic kind of guy. And it helps that were in what has to be the most romantic place on Earth." She smiled and leaned across the table to kiss him, pulling away with a sigh when his cell phone started ringing. "I thought you turned that off?" "So did I, but I guess Im even stupider than I realized." She smiled and sat back down in her chair as he picked up his phone. "Hello?" "Whats up, man?" JC sighed and rolled his eyes. "Justin, Im on my honeymoon. What do you want?" Mandi crept up behind him when she heard that it was Justin and tried to listen to what was being said. "Just wanted to say hi. Dont bite my head off about it. Oh, and I wanted to tell you, theres this great new invention called the condom. Use it. We dont want any baby JCs running around just yet." Mandi started laughing and JC tried to look exasperated before cracking up as well. "Oh, and remember Jace, no means no, ok? And Mandi, just because he married you that does not mean that you owe him anything!" Mandi grabbed the phone from JC while still laughing. "Goodbye, Justin." She clicked it off and threw it onto the counter before being caught up in a long kiss. "Mm... Im going to put the dishes in the sink... you can wait for me in the bedroom," she smiled. JC grinned and took off to the bedroom, grabbing the strawberries and bringing them with him. Mandi laughed to herself and started doing the dishes, before deciding after a few minutes that they could wait. She washed her hands and pulled her hair out of her ponytail while walking into the bedroom and shutting the door behind her, leaving a pile of dirty dishes in the sink. Authors Thank Yous First of all, I want to say that I had so much fun writing this story. So much that Im actually sad that its over. I was a little nervous, with this being my first novella, and there are parts that Im still not too thrilled about, but Im happy with the story overall. I think it turned out pretty good for a first try. :) I want to say thank you to my family and friends for being supportive, giving me ideas, and helping me out. Jess- youre my best friend and I dont know what Id do without you. Besides helping me more than you know with Family Ties, youre always there for me, and that means so much to me. Your friendship means everything to me and I want to thank you for just being who you are. Vicky- I think we get along so well because were both so screwed up in the head. :) Thank you for everything youve done for me, and its more than you know. Thanks for being there and letting me know that I have someone I can call when Im feeling depressed. Jen- Thanks for the most fun concert experience ever. :) Im really happy that weve gotten to be good friends over the past few months, and I really hope it stays that way for a long time. Youre awesome. Ooooouch! I also want to thank the inspiration for my characters: Jess, I didnt do it consciously, but I see a lot of you in Mandi (like when she falls on her ass). And Whitney... well, thanks for inspiring Whitney. I promise youll be in the sequel because itll be a Lance story. :) I also want to thank my guy friends, Justin, Kirk, and Dan for unconsciously showing me how guys act around each other and around girls. You helped me write the *NSYNC guys like real people. Im not sure exactly who I should thank for inspiring Robert, but I do know that I want to thank Mr. Thurston for giving us the quote that he did to write our midterms from. I got one of the most important scenes in the story from that. And thanks for giving me an A on the midterm! I want to say thank you to the fan fiction authors that I admire... mainly FictionLyn. I never would have started writing this story if it wasnt for you, and the need to see if I could possibly write anything like you. Of course, I cant, but maybe one day. My goal is to be able to write half as expressively and vividly as you can. Thank you for inspiring me, and youre right, imagination is the highest kite one can fly. I want to thank everyone who was subscribed to the zine *NSYNC- The Ultimate Popstars. My reason for starting it was so that I could share my story with you guys, and it made me so happy to get so much positive feedback from you. Thats a lot of what drove me to keep writing when I wanted to give it up at times. I also want to give a big thank you to the people who stayed with me after I ended the zine: [email protected], AriezPrincess03, Lost in a Dream x, Jessi91384, CeciliaAmelia, Tigerlovingurl88, MaritzaJTVB2322, BSBNsynCrazy2876, AbrcrGirl21, GottaLuvDad03, HIS Angel Nicole, AdidasGirl921, LovinLance48, Flagpole14, Cherry13chic, MargaritaMeg16, LancesLilBass, and SBabyblue410. It really meant a lot to me that you guys wanted to keep reading the story, even after the zine ended. So thank you. I want to give a big thank you to Tina and Eileen for hosting my story on their website. I always wanted to have my story hosted somewhere and you guys gave me that opportunity, so thank you for that. I want to say thanks to everyone in my Creative Writing class: Josh, Tom, Dustin, Pat, Jess, Vicky, Ken, Nick, Lauren, Corrine, Melissa, and Mr. Thurston, for not laughing in my face when I told you I wanted to write fan fiction. And thanks for the feedback, even though I only read the prologue. :) I want to give the biggest thank you to Justin, Chris, Joey, Lance and JC. Justin- thanks for being the perfect supporting role. Chris- thanks for being your hilarious self. I cracked myself up sometimes when I was writing you. You were definitely the most fun to write. Joey- you were good for a few laughs, yourself. Lance- I look forward to uncovering more of your personality in my next story. And please dont die in space. JC- if youre anything in real life like you are in my story, then you really are the perfect man. I hope I did you justice and I hope you find your real Mandi someday. Thanks to all of you for inspiring me through your music and through your personalities. And lastly, I want to again say thank you to everyone that read and enjoyed this story. Youre the reason that I wrote it, and Im looking forward to the sequel. Hope you are to. :) ~Rachael |
