She nodded at the girl. Is that a good thing? She joked.
Cindy youre so perfect! Another compliment came, this time expectedly.
If they only knew, she thought to herself, placing a fake smile on her beautiful face.
She was everything a girl ever dreamed of. Everyone thought her life was so great. They obviously didnt know anything about her.
Thanks. Youre so sweet. She commented back, brushing a hand through her silky blonde hair.
She said a goodbye to the group that surrounded her and walked off, quickly. All she wanted right now was to be alone.
She tried making it to her next class as fast as possible, hopefully without getting stopped once more. She felt a tap on her shoulder. Never mind, she thought.
Hey blue-eyed baby, care to explain why you didnt even bother saying hi? A deep, soothing voice asked.
I just didnt see you. She answered, plainly.
Oh. He didnt believe her.
She shrugged. Sorry. She spoke, unenthusiastically. I have to go. She smiled, apologetically.
Okay. Call me later or something, alright?
Yea, sure. She almost laughed at the thought. More like, yeah right. She thought as she walked along, heading for her classroom.
School wasnt a biggie on her list. She really didnt like the people anyways. Most of them followed her around trying to be a part of her little possy when she didnt even know their name. The others thought she was a bitch, which probably was close to the truth.
She got to her next class, finally, and took a seat in the front. There were only two other people in the class, and she finally realized that she had been way too early. She didnt feel like being Miss Social right about then, so it didnt matter anyway.
The bell rang, and people came scurrying in, trying to not get another tardy. She rolled her eyes at those same pathetic people that couldnt even get in the classroom on time.
Brooke took one seat next to her, and the other desk was empty.
Hey. Brooke dully said, reapplying another layer of gloss to her already shiny lips. What up?
Cindy controlled herself from rolling her eyes and the idiot sitting next to her.
Nothing much. She replied.
How was your weekend? Brooke continued asking.
It was more than boring. She took out a pencil from her purse and continued, All I did the whole weekend was clean up my house for my step mom. I didnt go out or anything like that.
The girl looked over at her, a sad look plastered on her face. Aw, poor you! That must suck not having a maid or whatever.
I guess it does.
Brooke continued on. Well, I went to Johns party on Friday. You shouldve been there! It was crackin.
Right. She didnt care about those dumb parties. They were all the same.
Class, Id like to get started now! Mr. Harms said loudly, hushing down the students.
The class was almost now silent, and he continued on. I hope you had a great, fun, and safe weekend. But now, we are here to work and learn. Follow along with me. His monotone spoke, zoning Cindy out on his first sentence.
She was snapped into reality with the door opening and slamming, loudly.
Mr. Harms gazed at the student and Cindys eyes followed.
A tall and preppy boy walked into the classroom, confidently. His brown hair had tips of blonde that were spiked up perfectly. She smiled in awe and it almost looked as if he smiled back at her.
You must be the new kid, right? Mr. Harms questioned.
He nodded.
Well, nice to meet you. Im Mr. Harms and I will be your English teacher. Mr. Harms gazed around the room, hoping to find an empty seat. He spotted one. Take a sit next to Cindy in the front row.
He strolled confidently over to the seat next to her. She tried hard not to drool, but right then it seemed physically impossible. This man was gorgeous.
Hi. He smiled at her.
Hi, Im Cindy. Whats your name? She whispered over at him.
Justin.
She smiled, seductively. Well, nice to meet you, Justin. I hope Ill be seeing more of you.
He winked, daringly. Im sure you will.
They both turned their attention back to Mr. Harms talking non-stop about how grammar mattered and why the people in this world need it in their everyday lives.
The bell rang and the new boy stood up, quickly.
I guess Ill see you tomorrow. Same time, same place, right? He asked her, jokingly.
She shrugged. Why not?
This boy was cute. This boy wasnt like most boys at her school. His face and delicate features were intriguing. She couldnt seem to get her eyes off him.
