| The Scars You Can't See | |||||||||
| With every memory pushed back Every thought shoved aside Every wall I put up To hide the things locked inside The scars you can't see Remind me of what's real They remind me of the pain That I never let myself feel With a world of distractions I get lost in my lie My lie of happiness and bliss Concealing a silent cry The scars you can't see Come back all too soon As I sit all alone In a quiet empty room The ignorance I hold on to That can make me forget it all Slips slowly out of my grip Leaving me to fall The scars you can't see I blind myself from too So that neither of us will believe That these all came from you |
