| In a world we thought would never be The wind carries with it a new fall Another summer's come and gone And reality catches us standing tall Not just a change in seasons But a change in what we know Like the leaves that fall from the tree Only time will let us grow Looking to the future But caught up in the past The months in between Will go by all but fast Just know that the flowers will bloom And with the freshness of the new This will be but a distant memory Of a time that our love grew |
