Tammy and family live in Canada.  Below is a picture of Tammy when she graduated from nursing school. The desire of her heart was to be a nurse.

My husbands name is Robert. He is self employed. I am a Registered Nurse. We have two beautiful girls-Megan(8) & Morgan(6).  They are truly God's miracles (I say this because they are here despite  my own health issues and the advise of the medical professionals). I know without a doubt that they are blessings from God to me.

As for me and my home we will worship the Lord!!!  My husband, myself and our 2 children were all Baptized as infants into the Roman Catholic Church. I guess you could say we were half- hearted Christians. We attended church when it suited us. Read the bible on a whim. Said Grace at meals when we remembered (and no one else was around!). Prayed when we "needed" too. When the children came along we took our vow seriously to raise our children in faith and my husband brought them to church EVERY Sunday (I worked 12 hour mid nights/weekends). Until one Sunday the Lord laid it on Robert's heart to look inside himself and acknowledge what was missing. Well praise the Lord he was obedient to Our Father's prompting. He realized that he was sitting in Church (Catholic Church) solely for the benefit of his children. The ones that were playing in the pew, stacking up the books, anything to occupy themselves (there was no Sunday school offered). They were bored!   The message wasn't directed to them, it was offered at a level of the adults. Even then you could see by the adults body language they were bored. This discovery encouraged my husband to search out and get involved.  But to his amazement he discovered there was no Church support. Not for the children nor the adults. No Sunday school, no bible study etc.
We always had Christ in our lives, but on the basis of inherited faith not knowing Him personally. My husband felt he needed to seek out a new Church that could satisfy his hunger. Our lives have been changed from the day he did. The Lord led him to the place he needed. We as a family needed. It is a Church that is devoted to encouraging people to have a heart to follow hard after God.

My husband, recommitted himself to Christ 21/2 years ago.  Myself 11/2 years ago. Our girls just this year. Praise the Lord! Robert now is not only involved in Bible study--he teaches it! He has been leading a men's Bible study for just under a year now. Myself I am in a Bible study/ cell group. The girls attend Kid's Cove (children's ministry) Sunday mornings and sing in the Church's children's choir. As well they attend a weekly group called Kid's club where they sing praise and worship. Memorize bible verses. Do crafts and activities, all nondenominational bible based teachings. Now we are whole-heartedly seeking and walking with the Lord!

This message in no way was written with the intent to condemn or ridicule the Catholic Church, nor the Roman Catholic Faith. It is just a personal account of how my family and I came to have a personal relationship with Christ. I am thankful for my religious roots. I see it now as a head start. I am thankful for being raised with the teachings of Christianity. For there are some who never had or will never have the opportunity to learn of Christ.

God Bless

The Lord Leads You

You, Lord, are my shepherd.
I will never be in need.
You let me rest in fields
of green grass.
You lead me to streams
of peaceful water,
and You refresh my life.

You are true to Your name,
and You lead me
along the right paths.
I may walk through valleys
as dark as death,
but I won't be afraid.

You are with me,
and Your shepherd's rod
makes me feel safe.

You treat me to feast,
while my enemies watch.
You honor me as Your guest,
and You fill my cup
until it overflows.
Your kindness and love
will always be with me
each day of my life,
and I will live forever
in Your house, Lord

Psalm 23
Thanks be to God!
