~The Visitor~
One day a man went to visit a church.
He arrived early, parked his car, and got out.
Another car pulled up to him,
and the driver said, "I always park there, you took my place!"
Then the visitor went inside for Sunday school,
found an empty seat and sat down.
A young lady approached him and stated,
"That's my seat! You took my place!"
The visitor, somewhat distressed by this welcome,
but said nothing.
After Suday School, the visitor went into the
church sanctuary, found an empty seat and sat down.
Another member came up to him and said,
"That's where I always sit, you took my place!"
The visitor was even more troubled by this,
but still said nothing.
Later, as the congregation was praying,
for Christ to dwell in their presence,
the visitor stood and his appearance began to change.
Horrible scars became visible
on his hands and sandaled feet.
Someone from the congregation noticed and asked,
"What happend to you?"
The visitor replied, "I took YOUR place."
~Bird Cage~
There once was a man named George Thomas, a pastor in a small town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to church with a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Several eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak.
"I was walking down the road, when I saw a young boy coming towards me swining a bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped and asked the lad what he was going to do with the birds, and he answered, 'I'm going to take them home and have fun with them. I'm going to tease them and make them fight.' And I answered, but you'll get tired of watching them sooner or later, then what will you do? And the boy replied, 'Oh I got some cats at home, they like to eat birds.' Then I asked, how much do you want for the birds? 'Huh?' the boy asked, then he said, 'Ten dollars'. I reached into my pocket and took out ten dollars, and I placed it into the boy's hand."
The pastor picked up the cage and went to a tree and sat at a grassy spot. Setting the cage down, he soothed the birds and then opened the door and set them free. Then he began to tell a different story.
"One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had come from the Garden of Eden, and he was boasting and gloating. 'Yessir, just caught myself a whole group of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait and they fell right into it.' Jesus asks, 'What are you going to do with them?' Satan replies, 'Oh I'm going to have fun with them, I'm going to invent guns and watch them kill each other and I'm going to teach them how to marry and divorce one another.' And Jesus asks him, 'How much do you want for them?' Satan goes, 'All your tears and all your blood.' Jesus replies, 'DONE!' Then he paid the price."
The pastor picked up his cage and walked away from the pulpit.

~Angelz~
I was driving to the grocery store one day thinking of what I needed to do today. Taking the kids to practice, cleaning the house, getting the groceries, getting the oil changed in the car, and so on. I was already feeling overwhelmed and was already tired before I had even gotten started. On my way, I saw a terrible thing happen!! A train had run into a car that was crossing the tracks! "OH NO!! There is no way the driver of that car could have survived," I thought. I was the closest to the tracks so I parked the car and got out. I ran to the car and could not believe what I was seeing. Tears came to my eyes and I juss couldn't take it. Inside the woman driving was obviously dead, the baby in the car seat was bleeding everwhere, and there was a little girl next the car seat crying and also bleeding. Just then the little girl spoke, "Is my mommy and baby sister okay?" I juss looked at her and said, "I don't know honey. There is a doctor on the way rite now." Then the girl started screaming, "Don't take my mommy and sister! Take me with you too! Please!!" I asked the girl who she was talking to, and she replied, "Don't you see? That angel is taking my mommy and sister! I want to go with them too! My mommy is waving good-bye and my baby sister.. she's smiling!" The little girl started crying because she didn't want to stay. I felt so sorry for her. I didn't believe in God and thought to myself, where did an angel come from? "What kind of God would take the mommy and the baby, but not the sister?" At that moment, I saw the little girl starting to smile and holding her hands out to something.. someone... to pick her up. I thought to myself, that she must be more delirious and maybe she was hurt worse than I thought. Just then, the little girl slumped over in her seat and closed her eyes. She was dead! I couldn't be sad even tho this 4 year old girl had juss died. I guess her mommy and baby sister came back to get her. That was also the day God came to me-- as that day  I became a believer.
