Hi! My name is Maranda Lane Hammonds and I am a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.  I am majoring in Biology with a BioMedical Emphasis.  Someday I hope to work in the medical field.  I am in the process of deciding exactly what I want to do.  I know that it will deal mostly with children.  I love working with kids.  I was born on August 6, 1981 in Lumberton, North Carolina.  When I am not a resident at UNCP I stay with my father and mother, Bobby and Debra.  My "daddy" is a Quality Manager at LOF Glass and my "momma" is a Rural Development Technican for the government.  I have one brother, Adrian. He teaches 7th Grade.  He is excellent with kids because he acts like a 12 year old at times!  We are exactly 6 years apart (he was born on August 6, 1975).  I am truly blessed with a wonderful family.
  I have been described as out-going, friendly and sometimes loud.  I have a big mouth for such a small body!  I love meeting new people and learning new things.  

I am a member of the Eta Sigma Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity.  I was initiated in the Spring of 2000.  I love my sisters.  Being in Zeta Tau Alpha is something I am very proud of.  When I am not at school or working at Disc Jockey Music I like to be with my sister and friends and live life to the fullest.
