101 Dalmatians (Not Animated)
****/*****
4 out of 5 Stars
I really enjoyed 101 Dalmatians. However, it cannot compare to the animated feature because that is one of my favorite animated movie. I don’t care what anyone says. I thought the actors were well suited for their parts, however I’m not too sure about the man who played Roger. I also thought that Glenn Close made an excellent Cruella DeVil. I truly think she played her part well.
The movie is set in London where we meet Pongo and Roger, the struggling video game person. If you ask me, I think he should stick to music, like in the animated feature film. Later on in the movie, they meet Anita and her dog Perdy or Perdi however you spell it and they have puppies. Cruella DeVil wants those puppies to make a puppy coat and has them dognapped (the puppies) and this is the beginning to a funny family movie.
One thing I have a problem with is timing in this movie. I mean come on, Roger met Anita and the same day he asked her to marry him. The next day they get married. The next day they find out she’s pregnant. Ok...... But I don’t think young children will pay attention to this detail as I do.
Overall, I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars. The timing in the movie is a little off. However, I think the actors were suited for their parts and thumbs up goes to Glenn Close for her excellent acting skills to represent Cruella Devil. The special effects kinda sucked but I think it would be an excellent movie for both children and Adults to enjoy.
