Special Education Data System Design

After extensive design experience in the area of Health Care software development, we chose to extend our services to the early intervention and special education arenas. Our custom early intervention management software was developed for Tennessee as a result of an Office of Special Education Program’s General Supervision Enhancement Grant. Through this highly competitive selection process, Yahasoft was selected to design a first of its kind data system. The elements unique to the Yahasoft Early Intervention Management Software are:

Yahasoft’s application provides all IFSP team members the ability to view and/or edit demographic data, complete intake, manage fiscal resources, create IFSPs, tracked delivered service data for all team members, create payment authorizations and manage children's care. Tennessee will utilize the data system to process claims, generate payments to providers and conduct/monitor provider compliance activities. Yahasoft has worked extensively with Tennessee to determine data and information needs related to the State Performance Plan Indicators. We have worked to provide custom data elements and reporting capabilities specifically for the Federal Indicators that “Needs Intervention.”

Also through the Office of Special Education Program’s General Supervision Enhancement Grant, we are working with Early Intervention Programs at the State of Virginia to identify and define the system functions on child outcome and family outcome.
