An early intermediate arrangement of this all time favorite hymn.
Beginning in the key of G Major and moving to C Major,
the melody travels from one hand to the other with beautiful chords as the accompaniment.
MY PAL VAL
A fun little solo in the "kitten" series that begins the student in
learning syncopation. This is in the key of C Major, 2 pages long and
is complete with the story of Valentine, the television cat!!!
BLUEBIRD BLUES
What a fun, three page solo for the intermediate pianist!
This blues piece is in the key of C Major. It has grace notes,
swing-style eighth notes and a B section with a few triplets.
TRIXIE THE BABY KITTEN
Another intermediate piano solo that is perfect for the 'cat lover!'
You can just see the little mischevious kitten scampering about in this fast and fun piece!
It is in G Major and E Minor, 6/8 time and it does move about over the keyboard!

REVERIE
This lovely solo will be another of your favorites by Dana Maher!
In 4/4 time, you have a mysterious melody in the right hand
that takes some interesting turns! In the middle of the piece you'll find the melody
has developed into quartal harmonies that add to the sad and lonely sound.
This is a beautiful work that could be an excellent contest solo
for your student or a nice selection of prelude
music for yourself!!!

What a fabulous solo! This one is a must for all pianists.
It is such a pretty work written after a visit to Florence to the Church of the Holy Cross!
BLACK SWAN WALTZ
The best of Miss Neal's works so far!
There are many moods to this late intermediate solo, each depicting personalities of the fabled 'Black Swan.'
This one fools you! It starts out at an intermediate level
but before you know it, it gets a little bit difficult!
This a a good contest solo that shows off the pianist's ability!
INTO THE LOOKING GLASS
Another meloncholy and passion filled melody by Denise Parr.
This early advanced solo is in the Key of C Major,
4/4 time with lots of plush chords and moving eighth notes.
It's a beautiful one!
IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL
What a lovely arrangement of Phillip Bliss's moving solo, It is Well With My Soul.
We begin in the key of C Major and eventually travel through an A Falt Major section, only to return to C for the ending.
I would classify this as an early advanced solo and one of Miss Kilbreth's best! This a a definate for your church offertory!
NOSTALGIA
A passionate piece of music in the key of D minor.
Early advanced difficulty with several right hand runs and flowing eighth note patterns in the left hand.
SOUND AND FURY
Fast and exciting!
This one is a rhythmic challenge and a showstopper!!
MATADOR
With a Spanish flair, this exciting advanced piece has many moods.
Opening with allegro,then Maestoso and Grandioso it moves on to a beautiful habanera middle section.
This one has everything!
ETOILE FILANTE
A difficult piano solo slightly reminiscent of Rachmaninov.
There are lots of large chords, many changing moods and tempos.
This is a truly beautiful solo.
FORGOTTEN GOSPELS
Three favorite gospel oldies.
A haunting arrangement in F minor of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" which modulates to C Major for a showy arrangement of "Amazing Grace".
The final hymn is an exciting and majestic version of "How Great Thou Art".
This is an advanced solo that is a wonderful offertory!
FAIREST LORD JESUS
This is an extraordinary arrangement of a favorite religious song,
Fairest Lord Jesus.
A Chopin lover, Ms. Parr has intermingled "Nocturne in E Minor"
with the old hymn. Simply beautiful!
FIRE
A technically and rythmically difficult solo for the advanced pianist.
A performer needs a lots of energy and flair for this one!
VERY EXCITING!
TORBELLINO
WOW!
And we thought FIRE couldn't be topped!!!!
Well, it's a close 2nd right here!
TORBELLINO means "Whirlwind" so do I need to explain any further?
Another of Ms. Parr's solid 16th note solos
