And she does a quite good job, she becomes a detective, and is one of the best cops at the LAPD.
But then she meets Angel and is attracted to him. He shows her the mysterious an unnatural world which she cannot accept. And then her father is killed by vampires. Her fall starts
Kate starts a crusade against demons and vampires, once in love with him she now hates Angel for what he is, she has more and more strange cases she cannot solve and her bosses become suspicious. Get gets fired and all she can do is look at the ruins of her life. She decides there is only one way for her now: She commits suicide.
But luckily Angel is able to save her life. He gives her a new chance which she gladly takes. With no more hate, but thankfulness and understanding for Angel she starts a new life.
While born in Germany, her parents moved back to New York City before she turned 1 year old.
Her father, Eberhard, was a German corporate attorney. Her mother, Lisa, once wrote for the soap, "The Guiding Light". The two divorced when Elisabeth was 8 or 9.
Elisabeth wrote an unpublished novel about a 21 year old woman in 1911 Scotland whose husband committed suicide.
