K: (frantically looking back to the lighthouse remembering Lucy) Okay you take her I�ll follow you in my car I have to take care of something first.
I: (nodding getting Eve into the cab) Alright.
K: (rushing back into the lighthouse frantic) Eve!
L: What? No Doc I�m Lucy�
K: No, Eve was just in an accident! Lucy, she�s alive Ian�s bringing her to GH right now. C�mon get dressed we�ll take my car.
L: I� okay I�ll be right out (begins to get dressed)
K: I�ll wait outside.
L: (nodding) okay (Kevin leaves Lucy who picks up a picture of Eve) Oh, you�ve really done it this time haven�t you? Well, I hate to break it to you Eve but he will always be my Doc. Always. I love him more than you could ever even dream possible and he needs me. You hear that? He needs me. (shakes her head) He loves me and that�s all that�s going to matter in the end of all of this. We have fate on our side and even you can�t change that. (leaves)
(Kevin and Lucy both rush into the ER. Kevin stops at the nurses� station.)
K: Where�s Eve?
Nurse: They�re checking her out now. (Kevin nods)
L: C�mon Doc sit down (leads Kevin to a chair holding his hand)
K: She�s alive, Lucy. She�s been alive this whole time and I didn�t even know. The DNA report said they were dead. You saw it�
L: (guiltily) Yeah, I did. Doc?
K: What?
L: You remember a very, very long time ago when you swore to me that you�d be honest with me no matter how much it hurts and I swore to do the same with you.
K: Yes, why?
L: (tears in her eyes) Because I have something to tell you and I have a feeling it�s going to hurt
K: (focusing his attention on Lucy) Lucy, What is it?
L: Doc, I�(A doctor interrupts)
Doctor: I�m sorry to interrupt but Dr. Collins we�re done checking out your wife. Everything appears to be fine. She�s with Dr. Thornheart now but she�s asking for you.
K: Alright (To Lucy) I�ll be right back.
L: Promise?
K: (realizing what she means looks into her eyes) Lucy, I meant everything I said back at the lighthouse. But Eve is my wife and�
L: (sadly)�and you love her
K: (placing his fingers over her lips) And I owe her an explanation on why we can�t be together
L: Doc, you don�t mean?
K: Oh Lucy I mean it with every part of my soul. (kiss - whisper) I love you.
L: (through tears) I love you too Doc. Its like I�ve loved you for all eternity.
K: (kiss) Face it Ms. Coe we are meant to be.
L: (smiles) Fate.
K: (nods in agreement) Fate. (kisses her one last time before leaving to see Eve)
(Kevin knocks lightly on Eve�s door then enters)
Eve: (looks at Ian who is sitting right next to her bed) Umm� Ian could you gives us a minute.
Ian: Sure (leans over kisses Eve�s forehead then leaves as Kevin watches suspiciously)
E: Hi you.
K: Hey. (smiles) I�m happy you�re alive.
E: Oh me too. C�mere. (hugs)
K/E: Listen I have something to tell you
K/E: Go ahead
K: I�m still in love Lucy
E: I�m in love Ian
K/E: (startled) What?!
K: Wait, did you just say you�re in love with Ian? You mean that Irish doctor Ian?
E: Yeah I did listen Kevin I�m really� wait a second! Didn�t you just say your still in love with Lucy? Your backstabbing ex-fianc�e, Lucy?
K: (laughs) Wait just a minute, you love Ian. And I love Lucy?
E: Yeah what�s so funny?
K: We�re married for god sakes!
E: Listen Kevin I�m sorry�
K: (laughing) Sorry? No don�t be sorry I mean we�re going to be happy aren�t we.
E: Well I am.
K: Me too. (serious) We had some good times, Eve.
E: (nodding) Yeah we did. (smiles) Good luck, Kevin.
K: (smiles) You too. (kiss) Goodbye.
E: Bye.
(Kevin exits as Ian reenters)
I: (looking back to Kevin) Well he doesn�t seem to be taking it too bad.
