Taiitsukun no Shichi Seishi-Chapter One
*Just a warning: I changed a lot of the characters' personalities, so don't get mad! And also a few of their powers.
Taiitsukun no Shichi Seishi
One Hundred Years After the Sealing of Tenkou......
Chapter One
It was a sunny and warm day in Mt. Taiyoku, where Taiitsukun, author of the book, Universe of the Four Gods, dwelled.
As she walked into her home, she thought to herself, Why shouldn't I have my own Celestial Warriors, like the four kingdoms do? I created them. The goddess frowned. Who will they be though? They should special, better than the average human. The time, now ...yes.... She smiled. So the twenty-eight seishi had been reincarnated? Perfect.
Nyan! Come here for a moment!
Nyan, who was by now much older and taller, ran over. Taiitsukun, what is it? What is it?
Ive been thinking for a while. What if I was to have my own seven seishi? After the sealing of Tenkou, things have been pretty quiet. If I were to have my own seishi, there would be a lot more people around. Dont you get lonely sometimes?
Nyan nodded. Yeah, youre right. With just the two of us and the occasional god dropping in, it does get kind of lonely. But who would the seven seishi be? Are you going to go through the Pool of Souls? Or are you just going to choose from the original twenty-eight?
Taiitsukun thought for a moment. I suppose I shall just use the originals. Saves time. So who should my leader be?
How about Chichiri? He trained with the two of us for thirty years, but he disappeared. What did happen to him anyways?
Nyan, I hate to say this, but you know humans. Chichiri was a monk, but monks can get lonely, too. Besides, the other Suzaku seishi were still haunting him. He couldnt live with it. So he left Mt. Taiyoku. But hes been reincarnated now. But the problem is, hes only seven....
Seven?! But that means well have to wait for so long before he can be your seishis leader!
Humans are humans, Nyan. I thought you knew that by now. Besides, their time seems faster than ours. For us, itll only seem a few weeks, but for them, its years. So dont worry, Chichiri will be back to us before you know it.
Nyan sighed. I hope youre right. I miss him so much!
Taiitsukun looked at her curiously. You do?
Yes! And he never really noticed me! All I was to him was a younger sister! Its not fair! Nyan buried her head in her hands and started crying.
Taiitsukun didnt know what to say. After all, she hadnt noticed the infatuation Nyan had for Chichiri. Look. Heres what Ill do. When Chichiri comes, Ill try to convince him to come over to you.
Really? Youll do that? Thank you so much, Taiitsukun! Im sorry for all the times I called you Ugly Face!

Several years pass. Chichiri is now ten. (I'm going to use Houjun from now on. And this is in Chichiri's POV by the way.)
Chichan, hurry up!
A little four-year old ran up behind him. Richan, Im trying, but youre six years older than me! Wait, all right?
Houjun frowned and stopped. But still, you should try, no da.
Kageyo stuck his tongue at Houjun. Shut up! Besides, Im shorter than you so my legs arent as long.
Houjun grinned. Guess youll always be shorter than me, huh?
Kageyo glared at him. The temperature dropped. He stomped up to Houjun, grabbed the hairs of his neck and twisted.
DAAA! Kageno! What was that for?!
Take it back!
All right, all right! I take it back! Sheesh, I wish I never met you and Tsuriko! The two of you sure are trouble!
Kageyo grinned sweetly. Well, you did, so yeah. Houjun groaned and did a why did I ask? motion with his hands.

Three years pass.......
Richan! seven-year old Kageyo ran up to him. Is it true? Is your family really moving? Please say its not so! Tsuriko and I would miss you too much!
Houjun, who was thirteen by now, knelt. Chichan, Im sorry, no da. My family must move because our crops keep failing. He gave her a hug. Dont worry, I promise well meet again.
But Richan! Father said we would move, too! Back to our old home! And you dont know where it is. How will we meet again?
Houjun looked down. Then he thought of something. Hey! What if I give you this? He removed his rosary from his neck and placed it in her hands. This is my promise that well meet each other again before we die.
Kageyo smiled. Thanks, Richan. Ill treasure this until the day we finally meet again. But also promise me this. Well die at the same time. Here. She dug in her sleeve and drew out a battered scroll. My father gave me this. But you can have it now. You can return it when we meet again, all right?
Houjun grinned and accepted Kageyos gift. Got it. He stood up and looked at the wagon filled with his familys belongings. Chichan, I must go now. Ill keep this scroll until we meet again. Bye! He turned around and ran to his family.
Kageyo heard Houjun's mother say to him. Now lets go now. Did you say goodbye to Kageyo and Tsuriko?
Houjun nodded his head. Yes, Mother. Chiriko and I promised that wed meet each other again.
His mother led him onto the wagon, where he climbed on and sat down. Jyah! Kageyo heard his father whip the horse, and Houjun and his family departed.
Tsuriko ran up behind her. Dont worry, Kageyo. Youll see him again.
She smiled. I know. The two of us made a pact that wed see each other again.
Come on, Mother wants us to go home now. He took her hand and the two of them returned to their cottage.

Four years later on a stormy night......
Ryuuno! How could you do this to me?! You betrayed me! Houjun rushed at Ryuuno and started punching him.
Ryuuno didnt respond for a little while. All Tenmai and I did was kiss! Houjun, listen to me! He did his best to block Houjuns blows.
Finally, he got tired of Houjun pummeling him so he began fighting back.
Suddenly, the river swelled and Ryuuno was caught in a wave. Houjun! Help me!
Houjun saw his plight and rushed into the water. Ryuuno, dont worry. Ill save you! I promise I wont let go! He tightened his grip and began pulling Ryuuno out of the water.
A log rushed down the river. It zoomed toward him. Houjun let go of Ryunos hand to protect his face, but it was too late. The log slammed into his left eye. AAAAAAHHHHHHHH! he screamed in pain.
Houjun, you promised you wouldnt let go! Ryuuno plummeted into the river and vanished into its impenetrable depths.
Houjun fell to his knees and gasped with pain. Ryuuno, Im sorry. I didnt mean to let go. He sighed. I guess I should go tell the village. He tore a piece of cloth of his shirt and bandaged it around his eye. Da, this hurts so much!
After several minutes, he was in sight of the village. He sank to the ground. No. No way. NOOOOOO! He leapt up and started sprinting. Everywhere he looked, there was water. Only the tips of the roofs showed where the houses had once been. Tenmai! Mom! Dad! No, they cant be dead, too!
But they were, and from that day on, Chichiri stayed to himself. He shielded himself from the pain of losing everyone he cared about in one day. Instead, he put on a carefree look and acted optimistic. However, inside, the sorrow tore his heart apart. He blamed himself for Ryunos death. To honor his old friends, he refused to allow his left eye heal. He wandered around for a year or two, not knowing what to do with his life now. It was strange. He was having flashes more and more often of people he had never met. He recognized Chichan in one of them, but he was much older. But there were at least seven other people he didnt know. But two of them, a silent young man and a teenage girl, tugged at his heart. But he didnt know why he had all these flashes.
Finally, one day, Chichiris wanderings took him to a high mountain. He stumbled up the steep hills and eventually collapsed at the front door, exhausted.
*Just to let you people know, Kageyo's a girl, but Chichiri doesn't know. Heheh. And I changed Kouran and Hikou's names because it's not very likely that they would have the same names as they did over a hundred years ago. And by the way, I haven't really watched the OAV series, so I don't know what really happened to Tenkou.
