IMC Resources

 

 

 

Computers are available for students to use in the IMC. Students can save information to a disk or the server with their user name and password. Please do not save or download to the desktops. Students are issued an Internet pass that must be displayed while accessing the Internet.

 

Printing is allowed to the IMC printer for material used for class. Print the information or picture you need by pasting to a Word document.

A copier is available for use in the IMC. Please ask permission from the IMC supervisor and limit the number of copies.

 

A reference section is available for students to use and includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesauruses, indexes, quotation books, atlases, information on facts and dates and more. These may be used in the library or checked out overnight.

 

Fiction and nonfiction books are available. The first three letters of the authorŐs last name shelve the fiction section alphabetically. Nonfiction is shelved numerically and alphabetically according to the assigned call number.

 

The IMC carries a variety of magazines for reading and research. Issues of magazines are kept for five years in the magazine file room. Use the Readers Guide to Periodic Literature to look up your topic. Please ask the IMC supervisor for assistance. Magazines are in alphabetical and dated order according to the title of the magazine in the magazine file room.
