The Show

After eating still putting off calling Adam, which she couldn’t figure out why she didn’t feel like calling him after all she was supposed to love this man, she called her mother, then Jessee to clear everything up about Christmas. After these brief exchanges of words she remembered Nick’s message and dialed him up.

*Ring*  *Ring*

“Nick, would you get that?” Kevin snapped, “how many times do I have to tell you to turn the ringer off during rehearsal?”

“Yeah, Yeah…” he walked over to the phone as saw Brian making kissing faces into the air he rolled his eyes.

“Yello?”

“Hi, Nick?”

“Piggy?”

All the guys turned now aware of Nick’s conversation, “Who’s Piggy?” asked Aj

“That would be Nicks little girlfriend from like Kindergarten.” A chorus of  “Ooooooos” followed and Nick waved them away.

“What about Mandy?” Howie asked and everyone shuddered at the name, not many people liked her

“Oh she’s still around.” Brian cringed

“Could you guys PLEASE keep it own?” Nick called over to the guys, “Now as you were saying.” He said addressing Anastasia

“I can come tonight if you want.”

“That would be great!” Nick said a little too eagerly causing the guys in the room to snicker, “The concert starts at 7 but come around 6 to pick up your tickets and passes, I’ll call up to the desk right now for them to hold them for you.”

“That would be great, but what do I do when I get them?”

“I’ll have my body guard, Randy, to be waiting by there he’ll bring you backstage.”

“Ok, I’ll see you then ok? Bye.”

“Bye”

6:15 that night

Anastasia walked up to the ticket desk, “Hi, Nick Carter has reserved some seats and backstage passes for me.”

“Yeah right, move along young lady”

“No really, check for my name, please. Anastasia Miller.” The lady rolled her eyes but preceded to type in her name she coughed slightly, “Oh, you seem to be here.” Anastasia smiled with satisfaction “Can I please see some id?”

Anastasia handed the lady her license and received her ticket and pass. “Thanks.”

The still dumbfounded lady was barely able to chock out, “Enjoy the show.” Anastasia smiled before walking into a rather large man. “Anastasia” he spoke

She stepped back surprised “Yes?”

“I’m Randy, Nick sent me to help you get backstage.” He smiled and led her down a series of twists and turns, every once and a while she would have to show her pass, all around her were screaming fans which couldn’t help but make her excited as well. She stopped for a moment at a vender and spending $15 on a tee shirt walked backstage where he heard the boys talking.

“OH MY GOD NICK CARTER!!!!!” The boys turned surprised to see a fan had gotten backstage, running up to him she gave him a big hug, “SIGN MY TEE SHIRT!! MARRY ME!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!” Nick taken back in total surprise was barely able to choke out ‘Randy’ but was surprised when Randy ceased to react just stand there with a smirk on his face.

She let go, and laughed. “Nick you should have seen you face.” He looked down and realized who it was

“Piggy!” He hugged her again, “Hey everyone this is, Piggy.”

“You guys can call me Anastasia, please.” They all said ‘Hello’ and gave her a hug.

“Sit down, talk.” Nick ordered, “You didn’t have a hard time getting back here did you? Randy wasn’t too hard on you?”

“No I was fine except for a couple teenyboppers giving me dirty looks I’m ok.”

He laughed, “Well its not everyday people get to go backstage.”

“Aren’t we full of ourselves.”

“Well you can’t help it if you’re the main teen heartthrob.” He joked

“I thought that was Justin.”

“Hey!” He threw a pillow in her direction missing her by a mile ending up in Howie’s lap.

“Nice throw, Nicky.”

“Yeah, well…”

“So,” Kevin cut him off, “everyone is very curious, how do you two know each other. Nick didn’t tell us and Brian only said you guys were ‘kindergarten lovers’ or something.”

Brian who was taking a drink at the time coughed slightly and Nick slightly embarrassed opened his mouth to say something but Anastasia clearly amused started before him, “Well I don’t know about that, though we did have some fun times, huh Nicky,” she said shoving him in the side slightly causing the guys to snicker, “When we were six my mother had to take care of my sick aunt so I spent the summer next door to Nick,” she explained, “We became pretty good friends but when we left I didn’t see him until a few days ago when, Nick being the gentleman  he is returned my purse.”

“So you knew Nick when he was still in diapers.”

“I wasn’t in diapers! I was six!” Nick protested

Anastasia laughed but then grew serious, “Well if you really want to know what he was like I brought pictures.” Nick groaned, “oh no.”  She smiled as the guys with the exception of Nick, excitedly crowded around her in an attempt to see. Pulling out the photos she began to explain, “This was Nick and I asleep in the boat.” There was a chorus of  “Awwws” as the photos were passed around, after a few minutes a middle-aged lady told the guys to get dressed and Anastasia decided to take her seat.

“Thanks for embarrassing me, Piggy.” Nick tried to act serious but it was no use he had to smile

“No problem.”

“I have to go get ready, but enjoy the show. We have to run out of here as soon as we finish the last song so I’ll call you tomorrow.” He gave her a hug and a kiss on the check, “Bye.”

Randy escorted her to her seat; she was in the 2nd row, which she considered very good. All around her excited girls chattered on about their favorite Backstreet Boy or the concert.

“Who’s your favorite?” Anastasia looked around to find the source of the voice it came from a girl who looked about 15 “me?” the girl nodded, “Oh, I don’t know. Probably Nick.”

The girl smiled and nodded, “Is he as nice in person?” Anastasia gave her a confused look and the girl gestured to the pass that she wore around her neck, “Oh,” she reached up and fingered it and smiled, “better.” The lights dimmed and girls everywhere screamed as the show began.
