Goodbyes and Hellos
AJ’s house
“Kevin do you even know half these people?” Nick called over the blaring music
He laughed, “I don’t think even Aj knows half these people.”
Nick smiled, “Well do you know where Mandy is?”
Kevin frowned slightly, “I saw her in the kitchen a couple minutes ago.”
“Ok, see you later.” He waved goodbye and headed what he thought the direction of the kitchen was, however it was a bit hard to tell with the sea of people covering every inch of the house.
“NICK!” he turned in the direction of his name and saw Brian trying to make his way over followed by Leianne who was gripping his hand for her life.
“Brian, hey!”
“Nick, do you know what you are going to do?”
Nick nodded, “I was just going over to see her now.”
“Good luck, man, you’ve got guts.”
“Don’t make me nervous!”
Brian laughed, “I’ll be around here for a while don’t forget to come tell me how it went.”
Nick nodded proceeded into the kitchen where he saw Mandy talking to some guy.
“Mandy can we talk?”
“Sure, Nicky.” She smiled sweetly
“Alone?”
“Oh, sure. Tad can you give us a minute?”
Tad left and they were alone. “Mandy sit down.”
She grabbed a diet coke from the refrigerater and sat down neat to Nick, “Nick pooh what’s wrong?”
“Mandy, I think it would be the best for both of us if we broke up.”
“What?” she jumped to her feet, “Nick, I thought you loved me!”
“Mandy, your great but it’s just not working.”
“Nick I can’t believe you!” She began to leave but Nick grabbed her wrist, “Mandy, wait.”
She spun around sending her drink down the front of her dress. “Nick! Uhh! After all I’ve done for you!”
She ran out into the living room where most of the party was, “NICK CARTER, I’M NEVER SPEAKING TO YOU AGAIN!”
The room fell silent except for the music, but now the song was regarded as background sound, Aj was the first, he started clapping and before you knew it even those who had know idea what had just happened were cheering. Nick looked over where Brian was standing he smiled and then shouted, “GO NICKY!”
Once the commotion was over everyone went back to partying and Nick couldn’t have been happier.
Adam’s house
“5 minute’s until midnight.” Daneille announced as she brought in the popcorn, “Elisa turn on the tv.”
“Hey, Annie can you come here for a sec?” Adam called from the dinning room
She walked in, and was met with a hug and a kiss, “What was that for?”
“Cause I love you.”
She smiled and then heard Eric from the other room, “Hurry up you guys you’ll miss the ball drop.”
“We’ll be right there.” Adam called in but then turned to Anastasia, “Annie, I love you with all my heart, I need to know do you feel the same way?”
She was silent before answering, “Yes Adam, I love you.”
“Then…” he paused and got down on one knee, “Would you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?”
