We Enter Lola
A woman ran through the door super-quick. Another vampire…Ash thought.
“Hey, what’s this human doing, unfrozen?” asked the lady. She was quite tall, not even counting her high-heels.
“I sense Vampire Hunter Blood. Is she?”
“No, Lola… this is… The One. No VHB.” Trinest calmly replied to Lola as Ashlea flinched and looked back at him…
“, And I half wanted to kill her…I feel hungry.”
“No, Lola, she’s not food.”
“Looks like someone has a crush on someone.”
“You could be a little more specific, but I know and it’s…not true.”
“Are you sure? Because you know you’re forbidden to love.” Lola teased him as he tried to side away from her. Ash thought, Why me? Only I could have a hobby that turns out to be a portal to a different world. Lola entered her mind, Come on, honey… you could do worse. If you weren’t The One, you’d be dead…Ashlea, startled at her voice, clenched her fists. Get out! She thought angrily, hoping it would fend off Lola long enough. Honey, you can’t just yell at me, you have to want it. Just like if I wanted a glass of blood right now. Ash felt as if Lola exited her mind. She looked at Lola – a glass full of blood appeared. Another person entered Ash’s mind, Stop this, Ash! Get out… “Get out!!! My brain isn’t a cafeé!!!” Ash yelled aloud.
“You’ve got skin, kid…” complimented Lola as she ran out and unfroze the library. Trinest and Ash were left standing and staring into each other’s eyes. After that incident, Ashlea quickly ran away home – she wanted to tell her mother all about Trinest so he could go home. Trinest ran after as to the fact that he was going to tell her that he could be changed back. Though time was an issue with getting him back.
Trinest yelled out, just as he left the library, “I can be changed back…”
“To a what?” Ash whispered as she slowly stopped. “I…I can be changed back to a… human, though…” He replied quietly, as he looked down and sad. It then dawned on Ashlea… Other vampires may be after him, why? She thought.
“W…Who is…after you? M-Maybe we can turn you back…” She said as she slowly turned around, her red eyes, shining in the sun. Trinest stood there, unable to answer her question, so he slowly walked across to her, his footsteps heard in the quiet afternoon. He grabbed her by the hand and said in an angry voice, “You’re not a human. If you can do magic in your poems, which is highly unnatural, I can be changed back…But my magic will come from my…” Ashlea stood there, frozen, their eye-to-eye contact, broken by her eyes, starting to cry. “No! You… you can’t return!” She quickly shouted and ran to the park that they had met in. Trinest ran after her, almost certain that she despised him. Ash stopped and she knew he could change… but… she liked him with his sharp teeth to take care of people who teased her. Yet, she could never love him like anyone else. Trinest also stopped. Ashlea was writing a poem, Trinest believed that Ash might get angry and write a poem to go back so they had never met. Then, his life would be over.
Then, Ash casually said “Come here, Trinest…” She showed him a poem she wrote and made him say it aloud. It said:
“Other many seas,
crashing over the park,
Rip out the evil vampire soul in Trinest,
And give him back his soul!”
At first, he was stunned at this poem. Then, Trinest was falling into a deep slumber.
When he awoke, Ashlea was standing by him, next to the bed, holding his hands. In a dreamy voice, he asked, “What happened and…where…am I?” he then did something too strange. He got up and walked to the wardrobe, all of a sudden, a mystical, purple portal appeared.
This was the night when Ash’s mother would take her to eat at Chinnie’s and take one of Ash’s friends with them. As a matter of fact, she’d be there any second, now.
Ding, Dong! The doorbell rang its chime. Ash didn’t know what to do, then, a voice in the back of her head was talking of knocking down the door. She knew that there was a path out the back that goes straight to the park and road and they could’ve gotten in that way and… Ash froze as the back door’s knocks got louder and louder as the crickets silenced. The door knocked down. She quickly ran into the big shed her father had kept his tools, she chose a nicely carved hammer and got another one for Trinest too. Stealthily, she crept back inside, turned on the kitchen room light and slowly walked down the back hall where the plain back door was hidden.
She looked on the ground, only finding that it was all muddy with footprints. Leading back to the kitchen. Ash heard a scream from her room – Trinest. She ran fast as an eagle, she tried the door, but it was locked for some reason. She heard another scream and started to cry. Crystalloid tears fell down her cheek; the door opened itself like a force field was jimmying it. There was Lola. She was with a knife in her hands, ready for Trinest.
“I’ve been waiting for this...” She said, “Too long have I had to be second at vampire. Not… any… more!” She continued as she raised her hand, her short, black hair, standing in place even still."She took the knife and put it into its sheath. Ding, Dong! The bell chimed and Ash’s mother came in. Ash hesitated as she looked at the door. When she looked back at Lola, she was gone."
