| 05-09-01 Point System - Girls complicate things, but sometimes the allure of sex is too great. Nothing disparing meant by that. - If you say there isn't enough good music out there, you aren't looking hard enough. Although 90% of bands do suck. Just wait till 2003 there's a 12 year cycle on rock. In the meantime find some underground band to nurture. That or Radiohead. - Does where you go to college matter? In some ways yes, others no. There are many jobs available, but you are damn ambitious or want to make sure you have a good time make sure to find the right one. It helps if it is a party school. - Money's tight, people are getting laid off. Personally I would like to see this downturn continue at least for a little while. We need some character in this country. Just don't touch those gas prices, please. But relatively, 2 bucks here (soon to be 3) 5 bucks in Europe. You make the call. - Read a book. A good book. And don't tell me Harry Potter is a good book. - I'm going to miss TV at college. I'm going have fun partying at college. : ) - Go get the newspaper. Read the comics. Find your favorite one. Read it daily. - I need a suggestion for graduation presents. (Besides lots and lots and lots of money) - Why is life so damn good at the moment? (No girlfriends, 3 slow agonizing weeks left, work at a baseball stadium maybe swimming pool laidback attidude going to NU hmm....) - I know why life is so damn good. The Cubs are in first place. Final Point Why do all corporations put on this front with their button down suits and friendly "have a nice day" smile, when we really know what's going on behind the scenes. For once I want to see an anti-corporation, an alternative to the corporation (a product of Capitalism, Inc.) someone who says you can work on what you want get paid what you want be who you want to be only one catch: be passionate. |
| 05-13-01 Point System - There's nothing better than a good mindphuck. - Businesses going out of (what else) business. Maybe it is time for a changing of the guard. Obviously it won't come from any of the dot-com companies soon, but maybe evolution will be good for once. The cycle will continue. - It isn't wrong to enjoy a popcorn movie. It is wrong to enjoy grossout humor sicker than There's Something About Mary. - The government should provide a staff of accountants for little or no fee to its citizens to use. Citizens might not want to be told how to spend their money, but too many people are in debt. These accountants can work with the unemployment office and find jobs too. Imagine that, multitasking. - Do you too spend to much time on the computer? Does it have any adverse effect on your life? - Sunglasses are cool. Stingrays are very cool. The sun is hot. The road is very open. - You don't have to understand something to necessarily enjoy it. Although many people do believe this. What if all of your conceptions about your favorite color were wrong? What if it turns out you are colorblind and you thought that blue lights mean go? Green is my favorite color. - Three weeks left till graduation. Whoa. - Writing is an art, just like tv and radio and painting and architecture and scribbling on a piece of paper when you are 4 years old. - Boo the Cardinals. Damn the Yankees. Root for the Twins. Final Point Everyone has a mother. Whether you love them, despise them, are indifferent to them, don't know them, are far away from them, or you just have a mother, at least be nice to someone today. Be nice to someone everyday. Unless you're just a big meany face and can't smile even at girls in summer dresses licking ice cream cones. (Sicko) So ya power to the people. |
