He believed that transformation is the essence of magic,
and stones help us achieve this by lending their powers.

STONES Q-R-S STONES T-Z
How can a few rocks change your life?
How could they not!

Man has five thousand years of documented stone magic.
The fact that our species has survived is evidence in itself.
Stone magic is simple, believe the powers in the stones are available to you,
they are earthly treasures, and does not the Earth sustain your very existence? You have your answer.

Man has long been drawn to stones and
has utilized them for adornment, worship and
powdered them for their pigment and healing properties.

We are now only rediscovering what has long been known.
Magic is simply transformation and transformation is magic;
all magic is change; and all change is magic.
Always remember that nature is our teacher.
Listen to the stones, wind, fire and water,
listen and learn for they do speak to us that are ready to listen.
Each stone has an association to a certain power, magic and lore.
It has been said that each of us has deep within the knowledge of all things,
And when we ready ourselves to remember this,
then the knowledge is there to be known.

May the magic of the stone enhance your life.

Cleaning Gemstones

There are many ways to clear crystals of negative energy.
Here are some suggestions:

Outside method: Place in sunlight, moonlight or rain, for up to a day.
Placing the stone on or near a plant often quickens the process.

Crystal method: If the stone is small , place it on a quartz or amethyst cluster.

Sage tea method:
Take fresh sage if available and brew a pot of light tea; allow it to cool.
Place your crystals in a bowl (use glass if possible) and pour the cooled tea over them.
Leave in the sage tea overnight.
Then remove them and rinse with clean, pure water.

Smudge method: Pass stones through the smoke of a scented incense such as sage sweetgrass, or Dragon's Blood.
Passing them through a candle flame also works.

Water method: Place stones under alternating hot and cold running water for 5 minutes (or in the rain for many hours)..
This is quick and easy but has drawbacks:
[Note: Stones really like the rain. It cleans much better than the usual water method }

Sea salt method: use 1 cup of sea salt to 2 cups natural spring water.
Place stones in the salt, and let them soak for the better part of the day.
If the day is sunny, let them dry in the sunshine for a few hours,
or if you have lunar stones, lay in the moonlight on a windowsill through the night.

Sand method: when all else fails or you are having a hard time cleaning something, bury it in moist sand (or soil). No wrappings. It will get gems clean but the polish is often removed when this method is used.
