I have been workin on puttin out SOMETHIN since..............Early 97......I have been about as close to 75% done with two or three CDs, but I never would finish them because almost everytime I was almost done with something, my skill, style, and taste would improve to the point that most of my songs became obsolete. But I have been at the level I am now since about Late 99, so I plan to soon put together a Timbaland sort of compilation. At first, this was going to be my album with me rappin on most, and others featured as guests, in which I would produce every song with assistance on some. Later, I decided to rap on half of the CD, and feature guests on the rest of it. But as of now, I think I am just goin to produce all of the songs, and only rap on a few, just like Timbaland did on his CD Tim's Bio. The reasoning for this is because I continuously get better at makin beats, and although my raps get better also, they are nowhere near where my beats are. I feel that when I rap, I kinda bring the quality of the song down because my raps can't hold up the beats. This is the main reason I try to find local artists because I know that "everybody raps" but it's hard to find the ones with skill, which is why so many taleneted MCs never get acclaimed unless they know someone. So as of now, I have enough beats to make a compilation, and all I need is the artists to rap on it. |
