Hello guys, 17th march, hope all is well we all went to an indian market today, and sorted out our massive excursion south; pisco, nasca, manu, cusco and the inca trail, extreme any way , i have found a place to download pictures so they should be in the gallery soon yippee. see u all later sam
Beckster here, well Peru goes off!!!!! It is crazy and hot in Lima, the clouds cover the sky in the morning and dispearse in the afternoon leaving a hot and muggy atmosphere. Collectivos (local buses) pass you by so fast that you would have to be Linford Christie just to get on them and even then you wouldnt have a clue where you would end up. City life is good we have already seen the night life and visited a museum full of skulls !! We will hit the jungle soon to have a look at the beasties . Take it easy and keep loging on love Sam, Dave and Bec. |

HELLO THERE,ITS MAY THE 13THAND WE ARE BUT TWO WEEKS AWAY FROM NEWZEALAND, I SHALL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT I HAVE BEEN LESS THAN SUCCESSFULL IN UPDATEING THIS WEBSITE AS OFTEN AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED TOO, HOWEVER I HAVE FOUND TIME IN THIS NORTH CHILIAN TOWN OF LA SERENA TO DO JUST THAT, PARTLY COS WE HAVE BEEN HERE 6 DAYS AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO, PERU; IN SHORT IS AMAZING (TIME FOR lower case) the lifestyles here are so different from my own and the absolute wealth in history is astounding aswell as the biodiversity of it all, we have seen sea lion colonies the nasca lines which were amazing , spent days in the jungle afterwhich we walked barefoot hand in hand with mother nature herself, we concured the mighty inca trail dave with only two seperate heart bypasses "well done dave" we sailed on the higgest lake in the world well me and bec did dave was still recovering from the heart bypass, and then we headed for bolivia, for the simple reason that we could BOLIVIA; the differences here were evident from day one our first bus was started by being hot wired which is fun, headed for la paz whichin all honestly isnt much appart from the highest capitol oin the world bought lots of boootlegg cds here for very little money dave sacraficed many clothes for the likes of clapton and orbison. then headed for uyuni in the middle of nowhere did a four day 4x4 tour across the dessert to the sounds of the chilli peppers GOOD NEWS and then headed in to chile for the last three weeks of our southamerica journey CHILE; not much going down here did sand boarding which was amazing and bought skate boards dave is now recoverng from a sprained wrist "WILL HE EVER LEARN" heading down the coast towards pucon for some white water rafting volcanoe walks and quad biking should be cool , WILL UPDATE AGAIN SOON (prob two more months or so) |
