BACKGROUND
Since all the money trees were ruthlessly cut down by our older generations,  all three of us have slowly but surely learnt the need to work, scrimp and save in order to realise our dream to travel.
The experiences we have had to endure in this time will only serve to heighten our enjoyment of our trip ahead.
Dave has tirelesly worked and indeed supported The Canadian Muffin Company, a small cafe in Cardiff town centre. He, has recently been successful in the sale of the aforemantioned Muffin shop to the Atlantic Coffee Company of whom he is now a major share holder. Recently Dave has opted to work night shifts at the Oyster Catcher also known as the Slave Catcher for reasons unknown. This new job has created interesting developements for Dave as it now seems David Arthur will not be the only soulmate Dave leaves behind.
The Cardiff skyline we must be mad to leave
Sam and Becky meanwhile have been working their way up the ranks in one of Britans favourite (in)Convenience stores, Woolworths. Entering the company as mere dogsbodies they are now of till-monkey rank. Beep Beep. They have now worked there for a combined total of 4 years, you get less for certain harsh crimes. Amy would put this down to consistent under sentencing by an under achieving justice system ( She didn't really say that i made it up). My sight was impaired and you see he had a prosthetic limb. Donnie you have no fram of reference. Woolworths has been responsible for a number of good friends that we hope very much to keep in touch with as we travel.
I hear there are Woolworths in Australia, what a shame we don't have work permits.
How we got to where we are is unimportant, where we are going is not.
As Dad's office wall reminds me;
"A MAN WHO IS AFRAID TO LOSE SIGHT OF THE SHORE WILL NEVER DISCOVER NEW LANDS"
This is totally irrelevant however, as we are not travelling by ship and know arrival times at our destinations airports. The age of true adventure is dead.
THANK GOD
