How many years have you been riding? 5
How did you start riding? Ever since I was little I have always loved
horses and my mom used to show at my age. I started with camp and then
lessons once a week. After that I leased a school horse for a little
while
and within two years I had my first horse.
How many years on the circuit? 1 1/2
Who are your trainers? Marty deLeyer
Who are your current ponies, what are you showing them in? Dutch
Diamond
(Jr. Hunters) + Java (Big Eq.)
Do your ponies have any fun tricks or habits? Diamond will pull out
your
ponytail holder without pulling any hair and Java whinnies a lot. They
both
like coffee and diamond also likes chicken and soda.
What's your biggest showing or riding accomplishment? My first year
showing
(2003) with Diamond I was LIHSA champ Baby Green Hunters, LIHSA 4th
Mini-PHA, 25th in national Charles Owen rankings and made it around at
the
finals (with the scary CO coup!) This year (2004) (in the minis i used
diamond and java and in jrs i only rode java) I am LIHSA 3rd Jr.
Hunters,
LIHSA 2nd Mini-PHA, LIHSA 4th Mini-Maclay, waitlisted 4th for Zone Jr.
Hunter Finals, pinned in all the o/f jr hunter classes at the Hampton,
and
8th in the HBO at the Hamptons (among other ribbons out there).

Half Chaps/Full Chaps: I love my custom chaps but I have to ride in

chaps and breeches till I am done with the Big Eq (this year),

not sure about ponies but I like the ones that Jessica Springsteen
ride. I
love the Jr. Hunter Spectacular Ruler that Megan Young rode out at the
Hamptons. I would have to say Megan Young is my favorite horse rider.

What are your goals in riding? To do my best and keep improving. I
want to
go to the big eq finals (medal/maclay, maybe some of the others). I
would
love to win a ribbon at one of them to finish out my final year as a jr
(i
was born 7 days too early).

expecting nothing less than perfection and all my friends/family that
work
around my crazy schedule and support me.
