INTRODUCTION: |

Terms for paraphilia (conditions otherwise known in
the vernacular as "kinky sex") paraphilia: a condition occurring in men and women of being compulsively responsive to and
obligatively dependent upon an unusual and personally or socially unacceptable stimulus, perceived or in the
imagery of fantasy, for optimal initiation and maintenance of erotic sexual arousal and the facilitation or
attainment of orgasm [from Greek, para-, altered + -philia]. Paraphilic imagery may be replayed in fantasy during solo
masturbation or intercourse with a partner. In legal terminology, a paraphilia is a perversion or deviancy; and in
the vernacular it is kinky or bizarre sex.
Bondage and Discipline (B &
D): in the vernacular, sadomasochism involving
constraint with rope, chains, or other equipment, and abuse, punishment, or torture with various
forms of equipment to enforce obedience, servitude, or enslavement.
Sadism: a
paraphilia of the sacrificial/expiatory type in which sexual erotic
arousal and facilitation or attainment of orgasm are responsive to and contingent on [and dependent upon]
being the authority who variously imposes abuse, torture, punishment, discipline, humiliation, obedience, and
servitude (named after the Marquis de Sade, 1740-1814, French author and sadist). The reciprocal paraphilic
condition is masochism.
Masochism: a
paraphilia of the sacrificial/expiatory type in which sexual erotic
arousal and facilitation or attainment of orgasm are responsive to and contingent on being the
recipient of abuse, torture, punishment, discipline, humiliation, obedience, and servitude, variously mixed
(named after Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, 1836-1895, Austrian author and masochist). The reciprocal
paraphilic condition is sadism.
Sadomasochism (S/M): sadism and masochism viewed as
reciprocals or counterparts of one another, and possibly alternating in the same person.

Purpose:
Case study on the moral values and ethical judgments
towards people with a sexual passion, preferences and interests on BDSM, as in bondage / discipline/ sadism /
masochism, otherwise being as a form of kinky sex or paraphilia.
Problem:
The majorities of the society are discriminating and
or have misunderstood the minorities of those who have a sexual passion on BDSM due to the lack of education and
knowledge on such type of behaviors and or interests.
Procedure:
Emphasize on general conduct and guidelines being
used in the BDSM culture. Explain some of the common concernsand issues that the general public has.

I. CASE SUMMARY |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Situation:
BDSM has been a known erotic play for many in both
the heterosexual and homosexual community. It has also been seen by
the general public or the majorities as too kinky,
crazy, sick, sick in the mind, psycho, yucky, discussing, too
painful, etc.
Explicit Problem:
The society as a whole do not understand such
behavior, therefore many times created a bias or discriminating
environment towards the minorities who favors or have interests towards the
BDSM behaviors. Psychological needs and supports could be found for many who engage in such erotic play. It is very important
that more people should be educated and or informs that such erotic play behaviors should be accepted and allows in our
society and not be seen as the underground black
world |

II. CENTRAL ISSUE |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Safety Concerns:
Many concern about the dangerous of BDSM play.
Although bondage, chain/rope restrain, cuff, caged (locked in a cage)
could be some of the many forms of actions being
involve, people do not understand that there are certain rules and
guidelines that both participants must follow and has
agreed on.
Health Considerations:
Please remember that, in a legal sense just as in
health considerations, there is no such thing as "safe sex." There is
however, with education, "safer sex." Just as in the
health arena, education and caution can help to avoid frightening results.
So be aware of what you are doing, act responsibly,
and you will find you can avoid that which you may fear.
Individual Rights/Legal issues:
In the real world, there are usually S & M
Contracts or other forms of Master & Slave Contracts being signed
by both or all the participants. In such contracts although are not consider as
legal bindings and serve no bindings at all, it does serve other good purposes however in the same way that a well-drafted
waiver does. That is to say, to show the knowledge, intent, and state of mind of the parties at the time the contract is
signed. Such contracts can be used to show what the parties agreed to and that they were aware of certain risks. They can spell
out the promises that have been made, and not made, with regard to property just like a pre-nuptial
agreement.
Abusive Behavior:
There is a thin line between pain and pleasure. The
most common myth on BDSM or the whipping, spanking, torturing,
punching are painful and may do harm to ones body.
Such assumption is totally incorrect. Many who have been engaged
inn such erotic play activities fine it to be very
erotic and arousal and many times it is a necessary to gain or accomplish
an orgasm |
