| The Infinity Symbol |
| I have also included the infinity symbol in my Reiki Second Degree attunements. I have worked with this symbol for a long time and have seen and felt the benefits. It has become a valuable healing tool for me, and this is why I have chosen to include it. As with the other symbols, it can be signed either with your hand or in your mind and then push the energy out. You will feel an increase in the surge of energy. This is because the infinity symbol increases the flow of energy an infinite amount. I have found that I use this symbol to do three things: 1. it increases the amount of energy flowing through. 2. It can be used to unblock energy throughout the body. 3. It can be used to balance and even out energy flowing through the body. To activate this symbol, simply sign it and push the energy out. If you want it to increase the energy of the healing you have already set up, then simply allow the energy to flow. You may sign it however many times you feel is necessary. If you have set up a Chokurei sandwich in the body, but feel you need a little extra magnitude then activate the infinity symbol. If you wish it to clear out any areas that may have blocked energy flow, sit at either the head or feet and sign it. When you push the symbol out, visualize it sweeping in the figure eight throughout the entire body from top to bottom. You will often find yourself swaying with the energy as it flows. Sweep it from side to side, unblocking areas and then continue down to the feet, finally pushing out any energy that it has gathered on its way. If you feel that energy is scattered or bunched within the body, activate the infinity symbol and use it in the same way that I have described above. It will sweep through from top to bottom, evening out and creating balance within the body. |

| Symbols have been around since the human being started trying to communicate with abstract drawings. Of course this developed into heiroglyphics, and several other forms of written language that have continued to evolve and grow. The symbols that we use in Reiki, and indeed several other types of healing modalities, represent different aspects of healing. More than that, they are keys that open doors to various avenues that focus on a specific area of healing. For example, we have symbols in Reiki to ground and balance, to increase the flow of energy, to make a path and push through other symbols, symbols for mental healing, distance healing and healing the past and the future. In healing, the symbols we work with, unlock and open doors. When you sign the symbol, you are putting the key in the lock. When you send the symbol out and let the energy start flowing, you are opening the door. Some of these symbols let you pinpoint and target specific problems and are therefore extremely important to know and be able to use in the correct context. Others are broader in their target and uses or application. Symbols from other healing modalities, such as Se Chim, add more doors and dimensions of healing. If you continue on in your search as a healer, you will probably come across many more symbols on your path. Explore and work with those with which you feel a connection. Occasionally you may have visions of symbols and it will be up to you to find out what they are for. |
