Here's an easy one that doesn't require an oven: Apples & Sweet
Dumplings (a little like apple cobbler).

At home package the following:

Bag 1:
2/3 c biscuit mix
1 T sugar

Bag 2:
1/3 c brown or white sugar
1/4 t cinnamon or other spices (e.g. nutmeg, cloves, ginger) to taste
dash of salt

1 apple

Mix the bag 1 contents with a scant 1/4 c water. It should make stiff
dough. Set aside.

Thinly slice apple into your pot. Add the 3/4 c water and bag 2
contents. Cover pot and set on lit stove.

Allow the fruit mixture to come to a boil. Turn down to simmer, being
sure not to put out the flame. Pour prepared biscuit mixture over hot
fruit mixture and cover with lid. Allow to cook for 10 more minutes.
It is ready if the dough is firm but moist. If it is still sticky,
replace lid and allow to cook a while longer.
