Sweet jeebus! Are you telling me... no wait... wait a minute before I fall out of my chair & start convulsing. You actually listed all your requirements, & then you got all your splash stuff out of the way, made an attractive image, & oh no wait, get this, THEN you made it your index page. Oh my! Will you marry me? Ok wait, this is a review, I'm supposed to be professional or some crap some chick told me once. Well, your splash is a little busy, but it's good looking.

Layout ;; 23/30
Holy Dog! This layout is a dream boat. I usually don't approve of too much blackness, but this is good. The font is nice, the image is wonderful & you made it yourself, from scratch, as is my understanding. I like your simple navigation & the way you've framed your layout. It's sites like this that leave me without criticism & make me look like I lost my reviewing skills with my '70s hair. Ok, I'm not a fan of thick borders, so perhaps the outline around the layout & frame would look better at 1 or 2 pixels, & if you made the font size for the site title a little smaller & centered it above the frame, it might give the layout a more balanced feel. Ahhh, this is the shortest I've ever written about a layout. Ok, I MUST FILL THIS VOID WITH CAPITAL LETTERS & BOLDNESS, because your site is so amazing compared to the other sites I've look at that I'm becoming scared, confused, & strangely aroused. Well... perhaps you could use graphic text & an image map for your navigation (but I'm going to take you aside & whisper in your ear "Don't bother doing that, it's a useless idea"). All I can say is that the set up for your layout is a little simple & not overly imaginative, it's sort of just iframe/links underneath & not all that flash, but hey, you don't need neon lights. Try to avoid pop-ups dear, they don't bother me because they're working, but some pop-ups don't work because I have a block, as do a lot of other people who get pissed off when something pops without warning. Well, where you've written "*opens in new window" (eg. Site Related section), you should really write "opens in pop-up", as a new window is entirely different (target="_blank"). I'd encourage you to explore layouts with a little more complexity in terms of HTML, I mean, this is nice, but I'm sure you could create something that would make my bladder explode.

Your comics are just fucking gorgeous (oh man, swearing, how unprofessional can I be in one review!?). Are your comics currently in publication? If not then they should be, seriously, or I'm going to have to go slap an accordion player's monkey. Your pencil drawings also make me want to attack you with some sort of blunt instrument for being that damn talented. Oh crap, you "feel intimidated by long lengthy pages of typing". Oh crap, haha, that's right. I had planned to shorten this or make it in point form or something, but I forgot. Oh well, I'm sure you won't mind all the typing as 90% of it is one big compliment. Boo yah.
You also have a good amount of visitor content, & though it's mostly just your regular thing, some of it's original & it obviously isn't the focus of your site, so it's appreciated. I wish there was more content regarding yourself, perhaps you could write a little more about your beliefs/opinions/life etc.

Your site is original, & a welcome change. Even if it sucked at least I could go away thinking "I did not see one over exposed celebrity picture or retarded & poorly made pixel adoption". Of course it didn't suck, so I'm likely to link you from my personal site when I update it next. That's a pretty big wow factor right there.
