The Crow of the Dawn

Corwyn Draca

Come with me, and I'll sing you a tale
Of the mountains that run to the sea.
Where the Dragon lies sleeping a ship goes to port
Awaiting the call of the free.
Her Captain is bold and her crew is the finest
Of fellows you ever will see.
She'll show you the lands where the earth meets the sky
If you'll come sail away with me.

Come sail away on the Corvus Aurorae
Come steel, come fire, come song!
We'll dance and we'll sing and we'll drink and we'll fight
Then we'll sail away with the dawn,
Come sail on the Crow of the Dawn.

We'll sail the seas of the Outlands, me boys
Through desert, mountain, and plain.
Where we harbor we'll leave behind tales
They'll tell 'til the final days.
We will sail on the winds of the Dream
To challenge what fate has in store.
Raise a glass to the Corvus, me boys
May she sail forever more.

With steel in our eyes and a drink in our hands
We will meet each ship on the spray.
Greeting death with a bow and a laugh
And a rapier slashing away.
Life is our birthright and laughter our legacy
Come join in the sound.
Weathering storms with our mates here beside us
Together wherever we're bound.

Corvus Aurorae

Randal the Malcontent

Come hear a tune of the stars and the moon,
And the jolly brave tars who have touched 'em.
Sign on with me: where the wind's blowin' free,
And the waves roll over the railing...
Come take a chance; come and sing, come and dance,
With the crew of the Corvus Aurorae.
I'll make my stand by the sea, by the strand,
By the crew of the Corvus Aurorae.

When you have sailed through the mist and the gale,
Where the Crow and the Raven have soared...
If you survive where the cannon balls thrive
And the muskets have rattled and thundered and roared...

Hung from the bow is a lass well endowed;
She could feed a small army of children.
Our Jenny Lee, she can glare down the Sea.
She's our mistress and leads to safe haven.
Not pirates by God, with conventions and law-
And our conscience is whiter than flour.
We swim with the shark, we've got letters of Marque,
And you'll see 'em if ever we find 'em.

Ready to fight, under sails black as night,
Like her namesake she screams at the sky...
Haul in the sheet, feel the spar with your feet,
Furl canvas on yardarms a hundred feet high...

Load powder and shot, give as good as you've got,
When the touch hole starts hissing and sputters.
Ware, watch your back, when the Ravens attack,
And the blood starts to fill in the scuppers.
Grapple the rails 'neath the billowing sails;
We're the talons of Corvus Aurorae.
Draw cutlass, move in; grab that belaying pin.
"Crack their heads in me lads," that's what I say...

After the fight, by the warm firelight,
You can join us and tell us your tale...
We'll raise a glass, kiss a wench, kick some ass!
And we'll do it together, together we sail...

Come take a chance; come and sing, come and dance,
With the crew of the Corvus Aurorae.
I'll make my stand by the sea, by the strand,
By the crew of the Corvus Aurorae.
On the good ship the Corvus Aurorae.
