| "So Far From Real" -Cauterize I finally got this CD. Man these guys are awesome. I can't believe they're not more popular. Let me first explain how I heard about these guys. You all know that I'm a big Evanescence fan. Evanescence belongs to Wind-Up records. So I went on to Evanescence's web site and there was a link to the official Wind-Up records site. Being bored, I decided to check it out. They had links to all the pages of their artists, one was called Cauterize. So I checked it out and they had clips of some of their songs available, so I listened and thought 'man, these guys are good.' So I waited for a while. Eventually they got a whole website, and put up whole versions of their songs. I started listening to them on a daily basis. So, I was at Wal Mart yesterday and they had the CD there. I had plenty of money, and it was cheap, so I picked up a copy. So it starts out with 'Something Beautiful.' This song is excellent. It's also the theme of their only music video (to my knowledge.) The video is kind a rip off of the last segment of the Twilight Zone movie. You know, the part when the dude is on the airplane and there's a monster on the wing? Well this one is a girl and her boyfriend. It's cool. Go to their site and watch it. Now. 'If You Go' is the next track. This is an okay track too. One of the first ones I heard all the way through on their site. Then comes 'My Everything'. The first song that I didn't hear until now. This is, like most other songs on the CD, pretty good. 'Killing Me' is number four. If you've heard any of their songs, this is probably it. It starts slow, then gets good, then gets slow again for the last part. Then there are a few other tracks. Then comes 'Choke.' This is their best song. Go to their site and listen to it. Now. Another thing about these guys is the fact that all of their songs are unique. Not like most artists, where you listen to the first three songs and you kind of lose interest in the music unless you're really listening. You won't drift off with these guys. I would recommend this CD to anyone. Average Rating-3/5 Average My Rating-5/5 Superb |
