NEWS TIDBITS
Wally Bien has formed a new Late Model Team with Kinnie Baugh as the driver. With time, hopefully Wally's team will be as successful as Kinnie has been in the Dash cars.
See you at the races!
Saturday, September 22 Anderson (IN) Speedway 150
Kinnie got a few practice laps in, then a oil leak sent him back in the pits for the rest of the session. He finished 6th in the last chance race, with only 4 tranferring to the feature.
Sunday, October 7 Salem (IN) Speedway 100
Kinnie had alittle better outing at Salem. Practice session went alot smoother, getting the car a click faster each time out. He qualified 29th, but the new team gremlins bit in lap 6 of the feature, a left rear axle problem sent him around, we got him back out for 3 laps, but decided it wasn't worth the risk of futher damage. Oh yea, Jr. Hanley got his 5th straight win.
Sunday, October 21 IRP 125
Shu wee, what a track. Never quite found a handle on it. Over fifty cars showed up for 33 starting positions, with less than a second separating the top 40. We didn't make the feature, but got some good notes for next time.
Well the 2001 race season is over.
Wally started the offseason with intentions of a new motor, and body for the 2002 season, but has decided on an all new chasis also. Getting serious folks, stay tuned.
