Digimon, the second season! After watching all of season one until the very end, every episode, we've made it to season two. Now I have had different opinions about the whole thing as the season went along. Now, before the premiere, I was totally excited to see the new season, even after seeing those scary pics of the previous DigiDestined they way they look now. I watched the first eps. And I was bewildered. I couldn't believe it! It completely didn't live up to my expectations. Where was the storyline? Why was it going so fast? How did Tai get into the Digiworld? Who were these new DigiDestined? I just couldn't understand them! I couldn't become attached to them--it was like they had no personality.

Now don't hate me right here--I don't think that quite as much anymore. As the series progressed, I began to sort of like it again. It started making sense--the story slowed down and they started putting the missing pieces together again. The storyline suddenly shot off into a sort of exciting adventure as we found out more about Ken Ichijouji, and also as we realized what happened to him and who exactly might have been causing the trouble to begin with. I understood the new DigiDestined. How much they really do resemble the previous DigiDestined. I also saw how much the originals had changed. I totally saw a whole new "Tai and Matt" de ja vu thing happening right now with Daisuke and Takeru, which eventually turns into a mature friendship the way Tai and Matt do this season. Geez, they remind me of Tai and Matt so much. Well, what can I say? Digimon 02 is somewhat close to being worth it! And also, the scenes of all of them as adults and married with children were to die for!! Anyway, although things did improve, they still left a lot unaswered by the end of the season. Unfortunately, I think that none were answered becuase of the complete change of story in Digimon's third season.
