| Everyone should have a wellness doctor on their health care team for optimum spinal and nerve integrity. Many nerve problems mimic medical problems and patients never know it. They go to their medical doctor (M.D.) to find out what's wrong and get something to cure their symtoms, never realizing the real cause. The pill causes another problem and over time this compounds the real problems. The brain sends health messages to the body at the rate of 270,000 miles an hour through the nerves of the spinal cord. If you have trauma a birth, it slows the messages. Stress, falls, disease, injuries, strains, etc. add to problems. Even though we may consider these minor, the body feels the effect much like a car. Take your car for example. If you never opened the hood of your car to maintain the engine, what would happen? A problem would develop. It would continue to develope until a crisis and symptoms occurred. In cars, we have warning lights tat tell us when we have problems so we can correct them before a crisi occurs. The human body has no warning lights. Problems develop silently over time until enough damage accumulates to send off a crisis signal. The effects of positure on health is becoming more noted. Spinal pain, headaches, mood, blood pressure, pulse and lung capacity are among the functions most easily influenced by posture. One of the most common posture problems is the forward head posture. The repetitive use of computers, TV, video games, trauma, and even backpacks have forced the body to adapt to tilting the head forward. Ideally the head should sit directly on the neck and shoulders like a golf ball sits on a tee. The weight of the head is more like a bowling ball than a golf ball so holding it forward as little as an inch is like putting an extra 10 pounds on your head and puts strain on your neck and upper back muscles. The results is fatigue and aching neck and shoulders. This causes neck muscles to lose blood, get damaged, fatigue, stain, cause pain, burning depression and fibromyalgia. This also causes headaches, disc compression, damage and arthritis. According to the Mayo Clinic Health Letter Volume 18 #3 March 2000 this tilting of the head forward over long term leads to muscle strain, pinched nerves, herniations, headaches, bite problems and |

| nerve problems. Medical doctors do not fix posture related problems. Incorrect posture can cause nerve problems. These problems don't give warning signals. Our body slowly fades away. Medical Research "Headaches can occur as a delay symptom after trauma in the cervical spine. These symptoms may persist for years, cause headaches and lead to depression." M. Berger, MD, F Gerstanbrand, MD 1981 Studies on Pain "A team of doctors at Syracuse University have established with scientific, anatomical proof, that damage structures in the neck are the cause of many chronic headaches." Peter Rothbart, MD December 28, 1995 Life Toronto: Life "Unusual facial pains were linked to functional disorders of the cervical-occipital juncture due to musculotendon, vascular and sympathetic nerve irritations in the upper cervical spine." P. Wessely, MD and H. Tilscher MD 1984 Unusual Facial Pains Linked to Functional Disorders "It is not surprising that manipulation lifts depression. It is possible that chiropractic maneuvers will become an important tool in psychiatric treatment." DF Gorman DO (Franz vonKurkel) Chiroproactic for Rejuenation of the Mind 1983 |
