Serendipity Scripture
May 31, 2004
*As you grab that first cup of coffee or tea, remember that Jesus says, "We all drink from the same Spirit." (1 Corinthians 12:13)
*As you wind your way through the streets and highways on your busy day, be reminded that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except he come through me." (John 14:7)
*As you labor throughout the day, whether in the workplace or at home, consider that "the son of man came to serve and give his life as a ransome for many." (Matthew 20:28)
*While preparing or enjoying your meals keep in mind that, "man does not live by bread alone." (Matthew 4:17)
*At the close of your day, when your tired and the children or others need your attention, recall what Jesus said . . . "Let the children come to me." (Luke 18:16)
*And finally, when you lay down to sleep, rest, assured that, "he neither slumbers nor sleeps," (Psalm 121:3) but is lovingly watching over you.
*Let's not let our daily activities be stumblig blocks that distract us from the Lord, but rather let them be vehicles to draw us into his presence. And . . . let's take special care to make time for him.
