About Me
I have known the Lord for about thirty years.  When our children were young we searched for a church with which to get involved because we felt it was the right thing to do for them.  We soon came to realize that it was the right thing to do for us. God led us to a little evangelical church in our home state of New Hampshire and we began to get involved.  They happened to be preparing for a missions cantata so we joined the choir and jumped in.  At the time,  I had a faith in God but no real understanding of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  I had heard that He died for our sins but, for the life of me, (literally,)  I had no comprehension of why He had to.  As we sang our way through the many rehearsals, I came to understand the Old Testament requirement of blood sacrifice, and then I got it!  He had become my sacrificial lamb when he went to the cross and died for me.  I came away from that missions cantata a regenerated believer with a personal relationship with Christ.

My husband also received Jesus and we continued to attend that church regularly. We studied the Word and deepened our walk with Him.  We found many ways to serve Him in that church, including directing the youth group, ministering in music, and leading home bible studies.  John eventually became a deacon and also became a licensed lay minister in our denomination.   He eventually received an invitation to direct our denomination's summer youth camp.  As he was a public educator by trade, and had his summers free,  we packed up our two girls and went to camp each summer for the next four years.  We basked in the joy of watching youth commit their lives to Christ and grow in Him.

It was during this time that John received a call to fill the pulpit of a church in our area that was without a pastor.  He agreed to step  in for them from time to time when they did not have anyone candidating.  He did this two or three times during that last summer at camp and we joined in a prayer vigil with the church for God's leading in their choice from the candidtaes.  A few weeks later they asked to meet with us.  To our surprise, they felt God leading them to call John to the Pastorate.  As we had not considered him a candidate, we spent a considerable time in prayer about this, eventually concluding that God was, indeed, calling Him to this pastorate.  He served the Lord as Pastor of that church for 21 years.  Throughout those years, at various times,  I served in the capacity of music director, Christian Education Director, and in the latter years developed and led a women's ministry program.  I love the Word of God. I've taught many bible studies, and written soome, as well as devotionals and dramas. A few have been published and prayerfully, through the power of the Holy Spirit, continue to glorify Him in the lives of those who use them

One of our greatest joys, down through the years has been to watch our two lovely daughters surrender their lives to the Lord and come to have strong Christian marriages of their own.  We thank God for the way they,  and the wonderful men of God He has given to each of them,  give their lives in service to the Lord.  It is an awesome pleasure to watch them raise our five  precious grandchildren in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Upon my husband's retirement from pastoral ministry two years ago,  God led us to a wonderful Baptist church here in New Hampshire, where the Word of God is rightly divided and the truth is spoken in love and without compromise. As we continue to use the gifts and abilities He's given us to serve Him in this body of believers, we are so grateful for the privilege of sitting under the ministry of a Pastor and wife that are truly committed to "keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith." (Heb 12:2)

I have a great love for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a burden for prrotecting the integrity  of His written Word.  That's what The Lighthouse is all about!
