Greetings Brothers and Sisters. MEMOS: Last CAMPOUT COUNCIL was Last Weekend in July!!! (that's a while ago) LOCATION: Southern Trinity County, near Ruth, CA in Six Rivers National Forest - 3 Forks/Clover Gulch Area. LET'S MOVE ON for next events. 1) Welcome Home! Light Family and Redwood Rainbow will continue to plan picnics, drum circles, Rainbow Shabbats, other Universal Fellowship, and campouts following the Colorado Gathering. We NEED indoor sites TBA. Plan for Summer and/or Fall Campouts! 2) We will need some HELP both (all the things that make a kitchen or camp) on site in Colorado and the next home events (and move right along! - Solstice is near!) Our Light Family Tribe camp intends to be near Brew-Ha-Ha and Musical Veggie - stay tuned. 3) The 2007 West Coast Regional Rainbow Gathering in Upstate is now a reality!!! - Watch for more info as we approach Memorial Day weekend at the end of May. We will use CB Channel 14 on the road. 4) Everyone, every where else... Morning of 4th of July - GATHER LOCALLY in Silence and Prayer Circle, until NOON broken with Auming and celebration of Oneness - Gather on nearest Town Square or Plaza - Bring Candles and Signs that say SILENCE in Prayer for World Peace and Healing. The evening before (on the 3rd) have a Evening Peace Prayer Circle of Sharing - UNITE Globally, Acting Locally - if you can't come home to the Annual Rainbow Gathering! 5) Any family folks that know about website design, could you help us with this site??? (/p>. The 2005 West Coast (Western States) Regional Gathering was a great success! There has been no West Coast Regional Gatherings since, but there WERE two local campouts, including one from folks of the Light Family Tribe held in the Mendocino National Forest, which was for scouting and learning about Springs - we seriously had hoped that a Fall Gathering would follow. But don't forget - a Gathering only happens with everyone participating as WE in COOPERATION. So always consider What are WE doing to help locally?. You are invited to join us as we hold Light Family Planning Councils and activities while at the National "Rainbow Family Gathering" in Colorado being set-up NOW. [See the LINK below this paragraph for the Howdy Folks and Directions,- but, please... READ ON first...] Participation and communications has been low or very quiet for awhile. (It is IMPORTANT that we all stay in touch and plan to have real activities ongoing to stay in touch, help HEAL the world beginning with ourselves and feel and much needed sense of Family around us that CARE and work together). Let's make it POSSIBLE to sing, play music together, drum, have positive circles of prayers/affirmations/thanksgiving, that are positive and universal with good loving energy; let's network for alternative healing, and changing consciousness in a positive direction! What came from council discussion at the CA 2004 Rainbow Gathering (Modoc County, CA) were a number of people there interested in "Intentional Communities." It was suggested that perhaps the best potential for a Light Family Gathering is on PRIVATE land hosted by a grounded Intential Community somewhere, and that way such a Gathering is not just rushed into one single week (as is National Rainbow Gathering). This way people have a chance to also stay and work with hands-on experience for many ideas. Out of that council came a NEW YahooGroup called "RainbowRez" which you can subscribe to for Intentional Commmunities and Coop/Collective living. ***What do you think?*** Please share your views with us. Subscribe to the Light Family Mail List on YahooGroups. Additionally, there are more YahooGroups that have started up after the 2004 Gathering for some specific topics of discussion and transmitting news. The three "C's" of Focalizing are: "Cooperation, Communication, and Collaberation." Therefore 1) as mentioned abovel, there was a NEW YahooGroup to be created called "RainbowRez"l. 2) It was also suggested that there be a NEW YahooGroup for Focalizing. It was also created with the name "[email protected]". This is not just for exisiting focalizers, but for potential focalizers, and ANYONE that wants to EMPOWER their local communities with councils, circles, etc. So if you wish to subscribe to OUR e-mail list and discussion group, the address is "[email protected]" PLEASE be prepared to send a note about yourself and your interests as an introduction, which also helps all of us to avoid SPAM, and know you are a real person and a friend. If there is to be a week long Light Family Gathering the "potential" for the first Light Family Gathering could be at Solstice or Equinox and take successful workshops, ideas on to the Rainbow Gathering. There's lot's of room for ideas and work on this project so please plug-in and contact us. SO - you ask - "What might this Gathering look like, or take a focus?" Think of 1) The Davis Whole Earth Festival in miniture with workshops; 2) Think of a Regional Rainbow Gathering that is really sweet with kind folks and good high, positive vibe energy, drug free, alcohol free; 3) think of people who want to share ideas without bias, - teaching, - learning, - really getting inspired and EMPOWERING one another as Brothers and Sisters of Living Light. 4) Consider a Gathering that could be replicated in different regions at the same time, on a substantial universal date (around solstices or equinoxes). Put it all together, FREE (with green energy from a magic hat and the family spirit of pitching-in), see it "on the land" - and you have the basics of our vision. The Light Family Gathering site and concept has been an idea long in coming about, and received more interest in 2001 at the Idaho Rainbow Gathering, after concerns were expressed for the Environment, Diverse Universal Spirituality, and respect for individuals in Recovery, against substance abuse. There were also parents from Kid Village seeking workshops, education, and enlightenment "beyond" the annual Rainbow Gatherings, and an event evolving in consciousness.
So it was the Light Family has started out seeking more interest in free Gatherings, and local circles across our planet that includes the following focuses: - Universal and Diverse Spirituality, growing in consciousness for Peace, Harmony, Divine Love, Cultural Enrichment, and Personal Enrichment; - Ecology, Respect and Educational Interpretation of the Environment; - Native and Aboriginal (or "Indiginous") Cultural Learning, and a search for balance from our various ancestral roots; - Appropriate Technology, Native and Pioneer Technolgies, and renewable energies, including various themes on Sustainability; - The Natural Healing Arts, and Holistic Health. . |
So Where are some potential areas for this "Regional" not-rainbow Gathering put on by Friends of Rainbow? We need some scouting, but there might be BLM or USDA-FS sites in Southern Oregon and the Jefferson portion of Northern CA. Interested?
