Heather Roberts:  Sagittarius, Elk, 5'9", dry skin, wears glasses, hayfever, plays the piano, fire eater, hates cleaning the bathroom, loves cuddling with her fiance Dan, wants a puppy, dreams of the house her and Dan will own on the lake in the mountains...

Once again, Heather is blessed with the opportunity to work with long time friend, Peter Zachari.  She and Peter have a long history beginning in a Massachusetts Chuck E. Cheese, in the kitchen, while she was spinning cotton candy and Peter was making pizza.  Who knew they would be living in the same NYC apartment building years later. Thank Goodness!  Heather is more than thrilled to be working with her favorite Succulent Wild Women, Tracy, Jill and Diane.

Heather began in the Salem Children's Theatre at the young age of five playing a card and a flower in "Alice in Wonderland."  Years later, she would be teaching at the same Children's Theatre and continued her tenure there for over five years.

Heather had a fantastic education at Salem State College and received her B.F.A. in Acting.  Following in Peter's footsteps, Heather decided to become a Florida Gator.  Heather had a unique experience at the University of Florida, both receiving her M.F.A. in Acting, as well as becoming a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance upon graduation.  Some of Heather's favorite roles include Mary in "Mary, Mary," Beatrice in "A View from the Bridge," the Nurse in "Romeo and Juliet," Vari in "When I Was a Girl I Used To Scream and Shout," Lysistrata in "Lysistrata," Dorine in "Tartuffe," and Edna in "The Prisoner of Second Avenue."

Directing and teaching Theatre Strike Force, which is UF's Improvisation and Social Issue activist theatre troupe, was a wonder-full opportunity for Ms. Roberts.  This troupe consisted of over 80 students from various majors on campus who performed over 25 shows a semester and toured to major National Improvisation Festivals.  Some of Ms. Roberts directing credits include, "Bye Bye Birdie," "Annie," "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom," "Miracle Worker," "I Don't Have To Show You No Stinkin' Badges," "Only Kidding," and "Plaza Suite."  Heather has directed Long Form Improvisational groups and Women's Improvisational groups.  She has the pleasure of directing "The House of Yes" this past June in NYC.

Ms. Roberts and Mrs. Tracy Salter Maida decided to finally live their dream and began The Aruru Theatre Company.  Heather feels spoiled to work with Tracy, a woman of deep soul and wisdom.  They plan to produce three shows this year and provide educational workshops for children and adults.  One of the shows they will be producing is a theatrical adaptation of SARK's National Bestseller,
Succulent Wild Woman.  Heather began the adapting process two years ago and asked her friends for their brillance in contributing to the process.  Now, Tracy, Jill, Diane and Heather have been working together for several months rehearsing, workshopping and adapting SARK's book.  They are looking forward to a November 2000 reading of the first stage version.  YES!  Her NYC weekdays are spent at Wertheim, Inc., a computer consulting firm.  Her evenings are either spent in the theatre or with the love of her life, Daniel.  Heather and Dan will be married on August 5th, 2000.
