Dazzler

Alison Blaire was a fantastic and well known singer known as the Disco Dazzler, or just Dazzler when on earth. Her career went a bit south when she was discovered to be a mutant however.
Her light-show like powers gave her the edge on stage and her light can influence people's emotions, so when she sings, people feel a particular way.she is also believed to be able to fly and create illusions with her powers when used in such context.
In her own series, she has fought the Hulk among other enemies, so she ain't no wuss!
Ali never had the desire to be a hero, just a singer, much to her father's dismay. Carter Blaire wanted her to be a lawyer, but she stuck at her dream, and was a success for a time.
After Cyclops, and Jean Grey encountered her as a result of a cerebro search for mutants, Dazzler helped fend off the Hellfire club and later joined the X-Men.
Since then, she has fallen for Longshot, another former member of the X-Men and gone to Mojoworls with him, where she now fights with the rebels against Mojo, and cares for the X-Babies.
She has recently appeared in "Eve of destruction" part one and is thought to become part of the weird new little team led by Phoenix. She's depressed, but back-Longshot may be dead, we don't know yet. She's reported to son be in a nother X-MEN issue, so watch out!

SHE'S BACK BAYBEE!

EVE OF DESTRUCTION NEWS:
At the end of uncanny X-Men #393, Dazzler was believed to be dead. All had gone whacko in mojo world with the destruction caused by some mini versions of sugar man and a few other versions of AOA villains in miniature!
I can thankfully report that Alison is NOT dead! as part of her and Jean's plan wherein Ali took Xaviar's place on the cross and faked her death when Magneto backfired her powers on her.

I quote from X-Men #113:

Magneto: "DAZZLER?"

Dazzler: " What-did anyone really think i didn't KNOW he'd use his magnetic power against me?"

"Hale and Hearty, Magneto. So hale and hearty,As a matter of fact, that ive been projecting a holographic image of Xaviar around myself hanging on this cross of yours--ever since Jean let you believe yu'd killed me"

Phoenix: "I needed Alison to use her ability to transform sound into light...As i concentrated on distracting attention away from Amelia (vought ) while she freed Charles"
