BREATH OF FIRE 4 TIPS
- Search every corner of each new place you visit carefully, goodies are found in corners not easily visible ot you.
- Don't slash or ram people because each time you do so, your Game Points go down.
- Remember, you can see your Master's requirements for learning new skills at camp.
- Try to fulfill each Master's primary requirements as soon as possible so you can use that master right away.
- Keep at least one item of every type of item you find so you can easily get Master Stoll.
- Catch fish often. Not only can you use them as items, but you can trade them for armor, weapons, and accessories at a Manillo shop.
- Try to get a lot of fishing points so you can get Master Gyosil
- Learn skills as Fou-lu. Skills learned by Fou-lu are automatically learned by your main character.
- Don't ram trees for berries because you'll lose Game Points. The exception to this is the apple tree-you can get as many as you want.
- If you use skills with the same element consecutively, the number of hits dealt by the skills will be increased. This can be used to get a high number of combo hits
- If you use skills following the element cycle (fire-wind-water-earth-fire-etc.), new attacks with the combined elements will be produced (ex. burn + cyclone = simoon).
- Some masters will give you skills depending on your maximum hit combo. Here are some combinations which give a high number of hits:
Rest + Vitalize + FaerieBreath
SuperCombo + FaerieAttack + FaerieCharge
Typhoon + Blizzard + any Breath attack
FaerieAttack + FaerieCharge + Tigerfist
Knock Out + Triple Blow (on Ursula with ursula equipped with an attack-all weapon) + Tigerfist
- To be able to get a high number of hits, fight the enemies Trunked and Trean which always appear in groups of six and have a ridiculously high amount of HP. They are found in the ? area where the main character first transformed into Kaiser.
- Always put the strongest physical fighters in the front row. In case of a surprise attack, they will get hurt and not your magic users
- For a lot of zenny, equip midas stones, have the Master for your characters Marlok, and then, fight Gold Gangs in the Forests in and outside the Tomb. You can get up to 30K or even 40K zenny per Gold Gang. And sometimes, they even appear in pairs.
- After clearing the Tomb area, you end up in the exit on the other side. There is a cave there (a little hard to see) you can enter (not the exit of the area). In the cave, there is a wall with cracks on it (try switching views) which Ershin can break. Inside this secret area are several items, and at the end of it, you can find a Dragon Tear. BTW, in the room with the Dragon Tear, you can fight Riders, the most powerful enemies in the whole game - just run if you are not strong enough.
- Do your best with every minigame - not only do you get better prizes, but your Game Points are increased this way. And more Game Points give you stronger Dragon Forms.
- In the part when you can drive a sandflier, you can get a ton of Game Points. On each course, keep jumping and turning in the air (don't get COURSE OUT). You can get up to 4000 Game Points per course (Don't forget, the different routes count as separate courses, SHYDE to KYOIN is different from KYOIN to SHYDE).
