Chapter Eleven

{Three nights later}

“So,” Raziel asked closing the door “we’re safe now,”

“That we are,” Kain muttered, he was curled in one of his chairs by his window, thick fur covering his lap on which rested an old book “we are also keeping Nosgoth in peril but Janos seems to think we’ll be alright,”

“I thought you were joking when you said cover Avernus with a big slab,” Raziel smiled but it was very forced, inside his hear was pounding and his stomach felt full of knives.

“I was,” Kain admitted “it is not my fault that their builders are simple minded,” he closed his book and gestured Raziel to come closer. Raziel did not obey fearful that he would fall to his knees in front of his father and beg. He did not want to humiliate himself further; this was going to be difficult enough. He had been thinking about this long and hard and had come to a decision that when his father made his choice Raziel knew he would follow him. Swallowing hard the fledgling spoke quietly.

“They are going to carve the story of how balance was restored on there,” Raziel added trying for humor “I think they want to name it after you,” his legs were shaking

“They can try,” Kain smirked and frowned at his child, gesturing again for him to come closer again at Raziel’s decline he frowned harder “what’s wrong Raziel?”

“Nothing,” was the abrupt answer.

“Don’t bullshit me child,” Kain shook his head, Raziel swallowed heavily and looked to the floor “Raziel,” Kain prompted, standing up leaving the fur on the chair. Slowly he walked towards his child.

“You said,” Raziel felt his eyes burn “you said that you would leave,” he swallowed “that you would die,” Kain’s expression was one of surprise but softened into one of an amused parent when there child has just done something priceless “Well? Are you? Are you going to abandon me again?” Raziel demanded, “Don’t smirk at me! You bastard you have no right, no right!”

“Melchiah was right,” Kain said softly taking Raziel’s chin in his hand despite his child’s struggles “you are a moron,” and with that he kissed his child.

“Really this is it?” Vorador asked holding up a small jeweled box, Janos smiled and nodded

“It took nearly all afternoon to get enough but he was right,” Janos couldn’t help but smile wider “he was powerful enough, although he’s never channeled his magic into anything before this.” Vorador blinked at his sire, holding the box which held enough of Kain’s raw power to block up the dimensional rift. Janos shook his head in wonder “he’s not even tired,”

“Well he is the scion,” Vorador muttered, feeling irritated that Janos suddenly seemed smitten with Kain, it was bloody typical really although he couldn’t blame his Sire Kain was after all his savior, his redeemer; he was surprised that all the ancients hadn’t started making moves, although those who had returned regarded him with more reverence than lust.  Janos frowned at his fledgling for a moment before silently sweeping his mind to find what he was thinking, the envy made him smile.

“True, true he is the Scion,” he agreed “and your brother, but he is not you,” the ancient reached out to his child “you are mine.”

Kain shivered as cool hands spread his clothing away from him, baring his body to the one underneath him. Fingertips travelled up his sides raising goosebumps on ashen skin and gripped into his hair, fisting in it using it to pull his head down within reach of hungry lips. He let his child feed off of his mouth as he braced himself on his elbows, hips pressed together, grinding slowly. A tongue pushed past his lips and he fought with it, pushed it up trapping it at the roof of his mouth. Raziel growled and pulled back long enough to free his tongue,

Chuckling Kain lent back down, burring his face in his child’s throat, nipping at the skin first gently then harder as he got closer to the vein, admiring the red teeth marks he left in his wake. He paused over the vein and closed his mouth over it, sucking hard but not breaking the skin. Raziel cried out openly, thrashing beneath him as his hips continued to undulate and skin was almost broken. Kain smirked and drew back tongue laving the new bruise that would fade in a few hours or so, his childe was gasping for unneeded air beneath him, Kain smirked as his fingers brushed over his child’s nipples, pushing them to teak points. Raziel’s hard won breath caught all over again, Kain leaned up and reclaimed his mouth

“The pillars are no longer living,” the mind guardian spat, “it had to be some sort of magical hoax to humiliate us.” Mind growled low in his throat “I have been a guardian since the day the pillars were made, since the day those of us died to give them power and never has my pillar spoken to me.”

“But he once again holds the blade,” Nature pressed, reaching out to touch his own pillar, he could feel he pillars power beneath the surface and something else, that something else had been present forever but had only just now been brought to the surface. He wondered what it could be.

“Well I think it’s ridiculous,” Mind huffed taking to flight, black feathers littering the marble base. Nature waited until he was out of sight and smiled turning back to his pillar.

“Will you talk with me?” he asked the edifice feeling a little foolish, “I would listen,”

I have always whispered to you,” a voice answered “you have just never listened,”

“I’m listening now.” Nature replied and sat down watching the pillar as it began to sing to him in silent ways.

“Gods Raziel, stop that!” The scion growled as claws traced the veins in his thighs. Claws moved upwards tracing over his abdomen, before sliding lower “Raziel,” He warned;

Raziel glared and Kain decided he would never understand how Raziel managed to look so regally stubborn while laying spread out on the bed, forever a prince of Nosgoth, but then there was so much about his child he would never understand. He shivered suddenly as his child ignored him and moved anyway gripping him tightly and stoking once and then to further his surprise the smaller vampire used his moment of weakness to tumble him onto his back. He arched half heartedly trying to roll them again and ‘failing’ Raziel grinned triumphant and his father settled against the black furs looking up expectantly.

“What are you doing?” Sebastian asked, watching his brother clamber about on a dangerously high shelf where Vorador kept the blood he’d mixed with wine.

“Sebastian,” Magnus voice was pleading

“What?” Sebastian shouted back up

“Catch,” the warning was given after the create had been dropped and it was only through sheer speed that the create of bottles didn’t break and cut him to ribbons. Magnus dropped down delicately behind him, landing awkwardly on his wounded leg; it had healed but still ached when he walked. “Come on then,”

“What are you doing, I’ve asked three times now,” Sebastian asked following Magnus into one of the tunnels that would lead to the north wing second floor where the bedrooms were.

“You want the great me to reveal my master plan?” Magnus asked Sebastian nodded, Magnus turned and walked up the very thin flight of stairs pushing a tapestry aside and holding it aside for his brother.  “very well, with this I plan to have a drinking game with you, get you well and truly drunk and have my wicked way with you,”

“That again?” Sebastian asked laughing, Magnus grinned walking up the corridor to their rooms.

Raziel pulled up from his ministrations and smirked at his father who lay gasping, claws fisted into the furs, blood sweat breaking out as his chest heaved for oxygen he didn’t actually need. He glared at his child who smirked at him

“Beg me,” Raziel breathed, absently trailing claws up and down his father’s length, teasing, Kain glared up at him, mouth firmly shut, Raziel tightened his grip ever so slightly

“Please!” Kain gasped as he squirmed and bucked desperate

The sound of Sebastian and Magnus walking past the door suddenly alerted Raziel who listened to the banter as they passed; it seemed they were not the only ones enjoying themselves tonight. Smiling he looked back meeting golden eyes that were threatening him with all sorts of nasty things if he didn’t get back to what he’d been doing. Smirking lazily he ran his tongue over the pulsing head and had the satisfaction of seeing those eyes widen as his father groaned. He danced his fingers up and down the shaft a few times, enjoying the sounds escaping his father. But obviously Kain was not happy as he moved suddenly rolling them both once again.

Growling low in the back of his throat he grounded his body against Raziel’s, thrilling in the heat from the other’s skin. Leaning down he closed their mouths together smirking into the kiss as his child trust their hips together, silently begging.

“Kain. Please.” He vocalised his begging, clutching handfuls of ashen hair. “Please.” His free hand reaching up to cup his fathers face needing to touch him, wrapping long legs around his fathers hips he jolted them together “now please.”

“Are you serious?” Nupraptor asked Arial nodded

“Yes they want to name it after Kain, I doubt he’ll be to happy,” she laughed “he has the strangest breaking points that man,”

“Really he won’t want it named after him?” Nupraptor sounded amazed Arial smiled

“He didn’t do it so he could be famous, he did it so Raziel wouldn’t have to go into the blade,” her smile faded, “he risked everything to try and stop Raziel being absorbed into the reaver and save Nosgoth,” she swallowed “would you ever do something like that for me?”

“You know I would,”

Kain all but yelped as they were rolled again, pain mixed with the pleasure of the unexpected action, but he did not fight it, hands settled on Raziel’s hips as the fledgling rested, panting heavily. He shivered as one finger traced the scar down his chest as his child began to move again. Kain shivered as the pleasure tingled up his spine and through his veins, the feeling of being milked by his child setting his blood itself on fire. Crying out in abandon Raziel thrust down on him only to come back up just as hard, Kain urged his child to move faster with half whispered words almost begging, almost mind you. He cried out suddenly as his child practically landed on him after rising up as far as he could go. Raziel was moving slower, tired, Kain smirked and decided to help, tensing himself he thrust up into the child, making the one above him cry out. Kain hissed and felt his claws dig into his child’s hips, blood beading around them. The scent of blood was all it took; Raziel lent down over his father and let Kain roll them one last time, Kain, able to move faster like this did so.

Kain cried out as his senses overloaded as his child’s fangs pierced his throat. Absently he noticed his magic rise inside of him seeking a different kind of release and without actual thought he let it go, listening happily to he sound of the window shattering again as he released the rest of himself into his child only half hearing the half sobbed cry as his child released his own pleasure between them. A sobbing cry breathed out across his chest and he felt cooling energy pour through him as his child released his own pleasure.

Collapsing he cradled the smaller vampire against him, gently running his hand along the smooth skin. This was forever.
