| Hi! G'day! We're a Filipino family currently residing in Brisbane. We will be going back home (that's the Philippines) by the end of 2002. We've been here for almost 1 1/2 years and lived in Adelaide for a year before moving to Brisbane. Adelaide has a beautifully planned city with several parks and gardens. During spring and summer, gardens, homes and parks are filled with roses in full bloom. It was such a sight to look at. Mama tried to go scuba diving in Glenelg (a few minutes away from the city) but she had to climb back into the boat because she found the water too cold. Brisbane is an up and about place. The climate is different and this time, Mama was able to swim in the beach. Theme parks are abundant and I enjoyed Movieworld a lot! Aside from these places, we were able to go to Melbourne, Cairns, Kangaroo Island and the Gold Coast. Mama was able to go to the Red Centre where she saw some magnificent rock formations and Daddy was able to go to Sydney where he was overwhelmed by the infrastructure of the city. Australia is a wonderful place and we will have a hard time leaving this country we have fallen in love with. Ed and Ligaya are my parents and they're both doctors. Daddy is an orthopaedic surgeon and Mama is a Rehabilitation Specialist. I just turned 2 years old last October and am growing up very fast. I just hope that when I grow up, I will remember this trip and be able to return to Oz or the Land Down Under. --October 8, 2002, Hamilton, QLD |
