The trick that leads to just about every other trick you can do. First of you have to have a good stance. If it is messed up enough you can't do it no matter how good you are. First put your front foot (left foot if regular, right foot if goofy) in about the middle of the board, make sure it is comfortable depending on how big you are. Don't let the toe hang over the edge put it an inch or two before the edge. Put your back foot on the tail, positioned in a good spot where the tail is high so you could pop it pretty hard if you wanted to. Again, dont put your foot so far over it hangs off the edge. Now, kick down on the tail, well its more of like a step rather than kicking it down. With your front foot kick it forward sliding it along the grip tape moving your feet toward the bolts. Make sure you move your foot up straight so the board doesnt flip on you or you'll fall and hurt yourself. After a lot of practice, after you pop down the tail and then when you slide your foot the back should lift up resulting in air. Congratulations, you ollied, now you can ollie off stuff, up stuff, and learn better and cooler tricks. |
