These hammocks are made of durable plain cotton cordage of 3 mm diameter in rhombic pattern (size of opening 100X100 mm, pattern created by knotting), fastened to steel grommets (rings of 90 mm diameter). The cordage wound on the grommets, conceal them neatly and completely. End splints of hardwood, spaced 2100 mm (7 feet) apart, and of size 20X40 mm, have holes punctured at 40 mm centre to centre through which the cords are drawn, to converge on the grommets.
These hammocks are available in 3 different widths, 900 mm (3 feet), 1200 mm (4 feet) and 1500 mm (5 feet). The overall length is kept at 2100 mm (7 feet) for all the widths. |
