Consider organizing a school supply drive for us at your work, school, or church. The following is an updated list of resources LIFE School could desperately use. Any supplies can be shipped to our US Address and will be brought down to Guatemala by volunteers.

1. General Resources
ziploc bags, brown paper bags, plastic crates, tupperware containers, lined chart paper (poster size), pocket charts,  whiteboard markers (or refill ink), Crayola or RoseArt Markers*,
post-it notes, index cards, manila folders, Rayovac rechargeable batteries, masking tape, clear packing tape, paper clips, construction paper, board games, card games, sunscreen

2. Technology

walkmen, discmen, CD/Tape player, headsets, headset splitters, printers, USB drives, A/A USB extensions, USB splitters, overhead projectors, keyboards, optical computer mice, computer speakers, computers, computer projector, copy machine


3. Literacy Resources
group (5+) or class sets (15+) of K-9 literature for guided reading

4. Math Supplies
pattern blocks, base ten blocks, counting chips, cuisenaire rods, calculators, protractors, compasses, timers, balances, weights

Science Supplies
magnets, levers,  pulleys, batteries, scales, weights, latex gloves, K-9 science kits


6. Sports Supplies
team uniforms (K-9), girls and boys swim suits (K-2), goggles, kickboards, basketball hoops, soccerballs, basketballs, volleyballs, wiffle balls

7. Music Supplies
instruments, instructional materials for recorders, sheet music (two voices) with contemporary music, xylophones
*The reason why this list does not include common school supplies such as pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks, and generic markers is that these items are readily available and cheaper in Guatemala. If you would like to donate these types of items we suggest that you make a small monetary donation.
