1. The Glorious Revolution produced an echo in America. The Revolution was led by the Puritan clergy. The Puritan clergy arrested Governor Andros and his subordinates and sent them back to England. In the revolution the colonies separated, even know Massachusetts absorbed Plymouth colony and the settled region of Maine. The Puritan clergy tried to restore the former bay colony charter, allowing virtual self-rule did not work however in 1691 Massachusetts had to accept a royal governor. The Revolution led to a General Assembly in New York, with enhanced freedom to meet and to make laws. In Pennsylvania there was a more independent representative provincial legislature with more powers. In Virginia the Royal governor lord Howard was removed. The Glorious Revolution was to guarantee to the crown�s subjects on both sides of the Atlantic a huge measure of self-government with powerful representative legislatures and assemblies.
2. Salutary Neglect is an era that helped encourage a great sense then before the colonists were self-governing in all internal matters. The colonists allowed a small group of kings advisers, which were permitted to �disallow � measures passed by the colonial legislatures and approved by the colonial governors. Between 1721 to 1748 when Sir Robert Walpole and the Duke of Newcastle were the kings chief advisers, the English government took the economic growth above the English rule. This era made a great sense for the colonists to self-govern body>
