| The Overview I am the youngest of three children and as a result I tend to find myself being the jokester in many social situations. I take most things in stride and am a very easy going kind of person. Honesty and integrity are the two most important values to me and the two I try hardest to be. My Interests & Hobbies My favorite thing to do is travel. I've been to Las Vegas, Disneyworld, New Orleans, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Seattle to mention a few. I've also been to several other cities but not for more than a day or two. One day I hope to travel to Greece, England, France, Holland, and Japan. I have to admit that I spend most of my time watching TV. When there's not a good game on I like to watch sitcoms like King of Queens, Home Improvement, and Everybody Loves Raymond. I also like animated series like Family Guy, Simpsons, and South Park. However I have been known to get down with a good Discovery or History channel show. And for superficial mindless fun I watch America's Funniest Home Videos, Maximum Exposure, and Dirty Jobs. Being a big TV watcher also means that I like movies just as much. Whether their on cable, rented, or on the big screen I like to watch movies. I've listed my most favorite movies in "My Favorite Movies" page, but if I had to choose four of my absolute favorite movies they would be: Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Splendor in the Grass, Forrest Gump and About Schmidt. The TV fun doesn't stop at movies and sitcoms. I also spend a fair amount of time playing video games. I like to play cooperative or deathmatch shooters like Doom, Star Wars: Battlefront, & Halo. Party games like Fuzion Frenzy and Monkey Ball are also a good time. If I can shoot it, jump it, or punch it I'm there dude. When I get off my butt I enjoy playing sports. I like playing all kinds from ping-pong to football. I even like board games like Apples to Apples, Chess, and any kind of trivia or strategy game. However, my favorite sport is basketball and I love to play it any chance I get. My favorite team is my hometown San Antonio Spurs. I also like to play volleyball, tennis, wallyball, softball, pool, & soccer. But I also like to just spend some time throwing a frisbee around or going for a bike ride or run. Music is another interest of mine. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music from Enya to the Game. I've played the drums before and really enjoy it, but I have never had a set of my own. I've recently began learning to play the piano and really like it eventhough it's really tough for me. I never learned how to read music but I have always wanted to, so better late than never right? I think it would so cool to be able to earn a living by playing an instrument. I also enjoy cooking especially barbecue. Some of my specialties are beef fajitas, chicken enchiladas, carne guisada, and chicken parmesan. My Family I grew up in San Antonio. My mom and dad divorced several years ago. My mom has remarried to a great guy who is a mechanical genius. My dad died about two years ago. I have one older brother who is married and has two daughters and one older sister who has one daughter. One of the best things about being me is being Uncle Dan. My family still lives in San Antonio in addition to several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Life in San Antonio is warm weather, great food, great drinks, backyard barbecues, family, and an all around relaxed but spirited way of life. The heat can make you crazy, but that's why they invented the Margarita. |
