Marie Benoit Meursault
Name: Marie Benoit Meursault Nationality: French Age: 17 DOB: 12 January 1788, Capricorn Information: Marie is the son of Claude Marie Meursault and Genevieve Lopez de Arroyo. Living near the border of Spain and France, he is familiar with both territories. His parents were divorced once French law allowed, though they occasionally remained partners. When the Consulate was taking over, Claude moved to France to take part in the government. Genevi and Marie stayed in Spain. Claude was from a wealthy family and was still able to support them from afar due to his work in 'politics' and law. As his visits became less frequent, though, and he eventually lost touch altogether aside from randomly forwarded sums, Genevi was remarried to a similarly displaced Spanish military man, yielding Maries half brother Lucien, now only seven years old. Genevi, of course, continued to accept Claudes funds until news of his death spread around, and the funds stopped coming. Marie, like his father, was well-schooled and largely shielded from the world. In the light of his fathers death, though, and the interesting circumstances surrounding it, he is finally going to France to take part in the activities there. Being schooled in philosophy tends to turn Frenchies to the dark side. Strongly self-disciplined, wise beyond his years, and as determined as his late father, Marie plans to go to the root of the problem and confront Jean Badeau himself and possibly wedge himself into the same business. Others say his early departure from home was moreso due to his public denouncement of his mother as an unfaithful prostitute., and after gaining access to his father's funds, he seemed much elss interested in getting to know him. Claude's reputation, however, did allow Marie fairly easy access into the background workings of France. Appearance: Marie has his fathers thick, wavy brown hair, but he keeps it shortly cropped with just a few curls to frame his sharp face. He is tall, with a young, lithe form and holds himself in an upright manner, but reserving arrogance for private slander rather than civil meetings. He generally wears a serious expression on his tan face to match his simple style of dress and carries with him a wooden walking stick.
